Episode 3 recap: Huang Yi Mei starts her new job.
Huang Yi Mei receives a call from her company, informing her that she has been selected as the assistant to the CEO. She is overjoyed, but her mother Mrs. Huang doubts that Huang Yi Mei, who has been pampered, can handle the demands of serving others. Mrs. Huang worries that Huang Yi Mei may even struggle to pass the probation period. Huang Yi Mei is determined to prove her mother wrong, and they make a bet - if Huang Yi Mei can endure the first three months, her mother will buy her a handbag, but if she fails, she must follow her mother's arrangement to pursue a postgraduate degree, even letting her mother choose the major.
When Huang Yi Mei reports to the company, she envisions being surrounded by colleagues and being the center of attention. However, the reality is quite different. Her supervisor, Su Geng Sheng, reminds her that her beauty may be both an asset and a target, and proceeds to brief her on CEO Tina's habits and expectations, stressing the importance of remembering them to avoid Tina's wrath.
Huang Zhen Hua is chatting with the girl Bai Xiao He, who is a Ph.D. student. Huang Zhen Hua messages her daily to check in, but Bai Xiao He replies sparingly. Huang Zhen Hua wants to communicate further but is struggling to find the right approach.
As Huang Yi Mei is preparing to deliver documents to CEO Tina, she witnesses Tina scolding a colleague for wearing yellow, as Tina dislikes the color that day. When Tina calls Huang Yi Mei, she needs to eat something due to low blood sugar. Huang Yi Mei quickly swaps the yellow corn in her lunch box for a yellow apple.
Later, Huang Yi Mei inquires with Su Geng Sheng about Mr. Teng, who is difficult to schedule a meeting with. Su Geng Sheng explains that Mr. Teng has a painting that Tina greatly desires, and his schedule is rarely visible online, making it challenging to book an appointment.
Curious about this, Su Geng Sheng suggests that each person's tasks have their own level of priority. Huang Yi Mei devises a plan to attend the gala event without an invitation, first attempting to befriend the security guard, and then disguising herself as a staff member to gain entry. She eventually locates Mr. Teng and mistakenly engages him in a conversation about French-Chinese art collections, only to realize her error when others call out the correct name, Zhuang Guo Dong.
As it turns out, Zhuang Guo Dong is acquainted with Mr. Teng, and he introduces Huang Yi Mei to Mr. Teng. This helps Huang Yi Mei arrange a 30-minute meeting slot for CEO Tina.
Although Tina and Mr. Teng do not reach a collaboration agreement, the meeting allows Teng to understand Tina's company, Qingshang, and lays the groundwork for future cooperation. As Mr. Teng is in a hurry to catch a flight, both parties exchange contact information.
Seeing someone approach Huang Yi Mei, Zhuang Guo Dong proactively intervenes to help her. He expresses his anticipation for the upcoming China-France cultural exchange event organized by Qingshang. Huang Yi Mei thanks Zhuang Guo Dong for his assistance, but is soon called away by Tina.
Noticing that Tina is unwell, Huang Yi Mei decides to take her to the hospital, despite Tina's insistence on just having a glass of water. After a checkup, Tina is diagnosed with a stomach ulcer, and Huang Yi Mei's timely action prevents a more serious situation.
Using her own money, Huang Yi Mei covers Tina's hospital fees, leaving her without funds to get home. She contacts Huang Zhen Hua for a ride, and on the way, learns that he has been unable to arrange a meeting with the doctoral student, Bai Xiao He. Huang Yi Mei immediately takes his phone and helps him secure a meeting.
True to her word, Bai Xiao He agrees to meet up. At the hospital cafeteria, Huang Zhen Hua expresses concern about getting oil stains on Bai Xiao He's bag, but she responds that things are meant to be used, not constrained by.
