Episode 18 recap: Fang Xie Wen voluntarily resigned from his job.
After returning home, Huang Yi Mei was preparing for her graduation, and Fang Xie Wen stayed by her side every day. After work, he was busy cooking and mopping the floor, and the two of them were living happily together. Huang Zhen Hua was concerned about Bai Xiao He's personal life and learned that she was applying for a position at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and was single. They agreed to go fishing together in the future.
Su Geng Sheng visited Huang Yi Mei, and Fang Xie Wen cooked for him. Fang Xie Wen knew that Su Geng Sheng had a different opinion of him and felt that he was not worthy of Huang Yi Mei, so he felt very insecure. He was afraid that Huang Yi Mei would find a cheaper place, so he had decorated the apartment according to Huang Yi Mei's preferences, and he was working at a beer pub to get closer to her. Huang Yi Mei was amused and touched after learning this.
Some of Fang Xie Wen's team members had to leave early due to family reasons, so Fang Xie Wen took over their work. The next day, the company had a problem, and the data was overwritten. The colleagues were reprimanded by the leader, but Fang Xie Wen confirmed that the information he had submitted was correct. However, the leader wanted to find someone to take the blame, so Fang Xie Wen took full responsibility and left the company.
Fang Xie Wen came home in the rain, looking troubled. Huang Yi Mei felt very sorry for him, and she gently wiped his wet hair with a towel. But to her surprise, Fang Xie Wen suddenly asked to break up with Huang Yi Mei.
