Episode 17 recap: Huang Yi Mei started working.
After returning home, Huang Yi Mei was preparing for graduation, and Fang Xie Wen was by her side every day. After work, Fang Xie Wen was busy cooking and mopping the floor, and the two lived happily together. Huang Yi Mei hadn't heard from Su Geng Sheng for a long time, and took the initiative to apologize for what she said last time. She realized that when everyone goes through pain, some cry out in anguish, while others grit their teeth. She should not have isolated Su Geng Sheng, but should have held his hand.
Su Geng Sheng went back to deal with his father's house. His mother refused to transfer the property, even after the stepfather had to pay compensation for injuring someone. Su Geng Sheng took his brother out for a meal and learned that the stepfather had gambled away the money he earned from work.
Huang Zhen Hua went fishing by the river and met Bai Xiao He, who had become more cheerful after completely letting go of her ex-boyfriend. They agreed to go fishing together in the future.
Su Geng Sheng visited Huang Yi Mei, and Fang Xie Wen cooked for them. Fang Xie Wen felt inferior and thought he was not worthy of Huang Yi Mei, but Su Geng Sheng saw similarities between Fang Xie Wen and Huang Yi Mei.
After the meal, Su Geng Sheng and Huang Yi Mei had a conversation, and Su Geng Sheng had a different view of Fang Xie Wen. Bai Xiao He invited Huang Zhen Hua to go fishing, and he gladly accepted, even teaching her how to use a lure. Bai Xiao He caught a bass, but since she couldn't cook, she invited Huang Zhen Hua to have a meal together. Huang Zhen Hua also realized her feelings, but hid the fact that he had a girlfriend.
Huang Yi Mei started working at a newspaper company through the introduction of her mentor. Fang Xie Wen was working as a project director at a technology company, and their lives were now on the right track.
Huang Zhen Hua brought Su Geng Sheng back home, and Su Geng Sheng also realized his own issues. He gave Huang Zhen Hua a set of pajamas for him to use when he moves to his new home, and Huang Zhen Hua was very happy to hear this and immediately decided to move.

Colleagues were reprimanded by the management, and Fang Xie Wen took all the responsibility and left the company.
When Huang Yi Mei was dealing with the rent, she found out that Fang Xie Wen had been paying half of the rent all along. Fang Xie Wen had to admit that he had fallen in love with Huang Yi Mei at first sight, and he had been worried that Huang Yi Mei would find a cheaper place, so he had decorated the apartment according to her preferences. He had also been working at a beer pub to get closer to Huang Yi Mei, and Huang Yi Mei was both amused and touched when she found out.
