Episode 27 recap: Jianxin Bai has left.
The Emperor wants Jianxin Bai to return to the Grand Supervisor's Office, but Jianxin Bai wants to refuse. Yan Nanxing is very surprised, as she didn't expect Jianxin Bai to want a divorce just two days after their marriage. Jianxin Bai is unable to let go of these matters and wants to continue investigating, but does not want to implicate Yan Nanxing, so he decides to divorce her. Jianxin Bai agrees. After their conversation, Shanbie Li comes out and asks Jianxin Bai what's going on, as Dingzhou is so dangerous and his own brother has already been killed there. Jianxin Bai tells Shanbie Li that he must go, and asks him to take care of Yan Nanxing and himself.
