Episode 6 recap: Sang Zhi secretly gave Duan Jia Xu a red envelope with money.

Sang Zhi said shamelessly that she couldn't resist the temptation, and if her close friends started dating, she would also want to date. Duan Jia Xu directly dismissed Sang Zhi's idea of going to find her old boyfriend, and Sang Zhi was relieved that her secret wasn't revealed. Duan Jia Xu's tutoring results for Sang Zhi were very good, and he would not come again. Sang Zhi was very disappointed and visibly unhappy, but Duan Jia Xu promised to reward her if she made progress, which cheered her up.

After class, Sang Zhi's parents invited Duan Jia Xu to celebrate New Year's Eve together tomorrow, but he politely declined, saying he would rather return to school. Sang Zhi was a bit disappointed, so she quickly went upstairs, prepared a red envelope, wrote a New Year's greeting on a small note and folded it into a tiny star, then secretly went downstairs and slipped the red envelope into Duan Jia Xu's coat.

On New Year's Eve, Sang Zhi and Sang Yan went to wish their parents a happy new year as planned, and they both received red envelopes. Sang Zhi's red envelope from her father contained a new phone, while Sang Yan's was thinner, which Sang Zhi ended up taking.

Duan Jia Xu sent a new year's greeting, which immediately brought a smile to Sang Zhi's face, and she quickly sent a greeting back. However, Duan Jia Xu was spending New Year's alone in the school dorm when he received a call that his father needed emergency lung surgery, so he had to rush back to Yihe.

After school started, Sang Zhi received the reward Duan Jia Xu had sent, and that's when she learned he had gone back to Yihe. Sang Zhi started hoping that when Sang Yan came home, he might bring Duan Jia Xu with him, but was disappointed when Duan Jia Xu didn't come back with Sang Yan that time.

Sang Yan said that Duan Jia Xu's only focus was on making money, which made Sang Zhi very curious. However, when she found out that Sang Yan's roommates all didn't have girlfriends, she felt relieved.

Sang Zhi was very happy to receive the gift Duan Jia Xu had sent her - a small black dog plush toy that reminded her a bit of Sang Yan. She wanted to send him something in return, but Duan Jia Xu declined. They had agreed to see each other at Duan Jia Xu and Sang Yan's graduation ceremony, so Sang Zhi planned to give him the gift then as a graduation present.

After hanging up the phone, a girl came to find Duan Jia Xu and gave him some money, saying she didn't want him to work so hard. Duan Jia Xu's reaction was very cold.

At the graduation ceremony, Sang Zhi came with Sang's father. When she saw Duan Jia Xu in his graduation gown, her eyes were gleaming. She quickly gave him the flowers she was holding, but didn't have a chance to bring out the gift she had hidden behind her back. Duan Jia Xu said goodbye to his classmates, knowing they may not see each other again. Sang Zhi worried that after graduation, she wouldn't be able to see Duan Jia Xu, but he reassured her that unlike the others, he would come back to play with her whenever he had time.

Duan Jia Xu called over a classmate and took a photo with his sister. At the evening gathering, everyone was joking and laughing, but Duan Jia Xu was infinitely sad. He had to go back to Yihe, which also saddened Sang Yan. Duan Jia Xu sent the drunk Sang Yan home, planning to stay at a hotel, but Sang's mother insisted he stay in Sang Yan's room.

Sang Zhi quickly took Duan Jia Xu upstairs and went to prepare toiletries for him.
