Episode 4 recap: The brothers stood up for Sang Zhi.
After school, Zhi suddenly wanted Sang Zhi to accompany her to buy something. Duan Jia Xu was waiting for Sang Zhi at the school gate, but the security guard said there was no one left in the school. At this time, Sang Zhi was taken by Zhi to buy something, winding around for a long time, before Zhi finally revealed her real purpose - she wanted to go to the internet cafe.
Seeing that Sang Zhi was unwilling, Zhi went in by herself. Sang Zhi was worried about her safety, so she followed. It turned out that Zhi was not actually going to the internet cafe, but was being bullied by some senior girls who were extorting money from her. Zhi did not dare to resist, so she had tricked Sang Zhi into coming with her today. They ransacked Sang Zhi's backpack and threatened her to bring money tomorrow.
Sang Zhi was very disappointed in Zhi. She finally understood why Zhi had suddenly asked her to come. In the alley, Sang Zhi ran into the long-searching Duan Jia Xu, and couldn't help but lean on his shoulder and cry.
Duan Jia Xu bought Sang Zhi a juice and asked if she had been bullied. Sang Zhi didn't want to trouble him, but seeing that he was somewhat angry, she told him everything. Duan Jia Xu sent Sang Zhi home, and she learned that Sang Yan had gone to accompany someone for an interview - he was very busy as he was about to graduate. Sitting on Duan Jia Xu's bicycle, Sang Zhi's mood improved greatly. When she got home, Duan Jia Xu even gave her back the money that had been taken from her, telling her to be sure to tell her parents about today's events.
Sang Zhi limped into the house, her mood extremely joyful. She wrote down her secret, that although she didn't want to admit it, she seemed to have fallen for Duan Jia Xu.
Sang Zhi folded the paper containing her secret thoughts into a star and placed it in a wishing bottle.
The next day, Sang Yan and Duan Jia Xu, accompanied by two of their roommates, rushed to Sang Zhi's school, only to find that it was girls who had been bullying her. Sang Yan didn't hit girls, but he couldn't let anyone bully his sister! Sang Yan and Duan Jia Xu, along with Qian Fei, found the three troublemakers, took back the money they had stolen from Sang Zhi, and "calmly and pleasantly" lectured them before leaving.
Sang Zhi, lollipop in mouth, got her wallet back and quickly gave Duan Jia Xu fifty yuan. Qian Fei said Sang Zhi was like Duan Jia Xu's own sister, which was actually what the second-year Sang Zhi had been wishing for - that he could be her real brother.
She wanted to become a person who could bring warmth to others like Duan Jia Xu, and she wanted to grow up quickly. Zhi had transferred schools, and before leaving, she left a note on Sang Zhi's desk apologizing. Sang Zhi had little reaction, simply glancing at it briefly after opening it.
Sang Zhi's end-of-term exam results came out - she did very well, though she disliked physics and had only barely passed it.
Sang Zhi's parents earnestly hoped she would think carefully about her future, and decided to arrange extra tutoring for her during the winter break. However, the tutor was Sang Yan, much to Sang Zhi's disappointment. As they went through the lessons, the two ended up bickering and fighting, and they jointly requested a change.
Soon, Sang's mother found a new tutor for Sang Zhi. On the night before meeting the new tutor, Sang Zhi decisively decided she would sneak out early the next morning.
