Episode 15 recap: Duan Jia Xu expressed his feelings.
Duan Jia Xu gave Sang Zhi some medicine, and Sang Zhi swallowed it while covering her face, afraid that Duan Jia Xu would see her appearance. However, she didn't forget to comment that the bubble tea was delicious. Duan Jia Xu recalled that he had previously given Sang Zhi milk, and Sang Zhi quickly said she had given it to a classmate, since it was of no use keeping it.
Sang Zhi couldn't help scratching her face, and Duan Jia Xu directly grabbed her two hands and walked her forward, with Sang Zhi complaining that he was walking her like a dog. Duan Jia Xu suddenly moved closer and asked Sang Zhi if he looked like the person she had said she liked. Sang Zhi didn't dare admit it, quickly turning her head and saying he didn't look like that person, emphasizing that she didn't have a crush on anyone now, as her previous crush was like a central air conditioner, being nice to everyone around him.
Duan Jia Xu couldn't help whispering, saying Sang Zhi was quite good at framing people. On the bus, Sang Zhi carefully held onto Duan Jia Xu's clothes to maintain her balance.
Sang Zhi and Duan Jia Xu had made plans to watch the movie they didn't get to see last time. Sang Zhi bought a cup of iced lemon tea, but Duan Jia Xu stopped her from drinking the cold drink, telling her she should get used to him taking care of her.
Sang Zhi's hands were freezing while holding the iced lemon tea. Duan Jia Xu reached out to hold it for her, then asked Sang Zhi to warm his hands. When Sang Zhi politely refused, citing it was inappropriate, Duan Jia Xu acknowledged it was indeed inappropriate since they didn't have that kind of relationship.
After the movie, Duan Jia Xu wanted to take Sang Zhi to his home, which surprised her since he had previously said he didn't want her to go to his office or home. Duan Jia Xu explained that the incident with Jiang Ying before was because he had been too hasty and didn't explain it clearly.
At the rooftop of his home, Duan Jia Xu had prepared a birthday surprise for Sang Zhi, including a birthday cake. Sang Zhi was very happy, as this was the first birthday they celebrated together, and she hoped there would be many more. Duan Jia Xu also had a birthday gift for her to open later.
Duan Jia Xu grew jealous seeing the gift from Jiang Ming, realizing Sang Zhi was pursued by many people. He asked her what criteria she looked for in a partner, then boldly asked if he could pursue her. Sang Zhi became nervous, unsure if he meant it that way, but Duan Jia Xu confirmed he no longer wanted to be just her brother.
Sang Zhi nervously gave her answer - she would only know her feelings for Duan Jia Xu if he pursued her. The atmosphere lightened, and Duan Jia Xu complimented Sang Zhi's lovely appearance that day. He agreed Sang Zhi could take the cake back to the dorm, and even make it for her every day if she liked it, to which she shyly agreed.
Back in the dorm, Sang Zhi's roommates had also prepared a birthday cake to celebrate with her.
