Episode 4 recap: Wandering Cloud sought refuge with Gu Chengjin.
Shen Li couldn't figure out Wandering Cloud's identity, so in order to quickly find out more about him, she took the opportunity while Wandering Cloud was already asleep to flip through the notes on his desk. She read through many of them and found that they mainly recorded weather changes and plant growth. What a boring fool. Shen Li was getting bored and put down the book. Suddenly, she noticed that Wandering Cloud was sitting across from her, caught red-handed peeking at the diary. It was quite embarrassing. Shen Li pretended not to care on the surface, but internally she felt flustered and panicked. She explained that she had just picked up a leaf and put it in the book.
Days passed quietly. Shen Li still hadn't figured out Wandering Cloud's true identity but felt that he seemed like a pitiable person. His mother had passed away, and his father doted on him excessively. On the other hand, the second young master, Gu Chengjin, had a stable temperament. The position of the young city lord had yet to be decided, and both factions were eager to make their moves.
Wandering Cloud seized this opportunity and came to rely on Gu Chengjin for support. At Jinyue Mansion, Shen Li discovered a lotus spirit. This little spirit had an extremely charming and alluring appearance, captivating everyone. Shen Li initially planned to capture her, but Gu Chengjin seemed to attach special importance to her.
