Episode 24 recap: Xing Zhi defies fate in search of Shen Li.
Xing Zhi tirelessly searches for Shen Li in the Eastern Sea, but only finds fragments of her red clothes, causing him immense pain. He had suppressed his emotions, taking it upon himself to ensure the peace and safety of the Three Realms, but losing Shen Li has made him feel powerless and anguished. He decides to defy heaven and sacrifice his lifelong cultivation to rescue Shen Li.
He freezes the Eastern Sea, vowing to find even a trace of Shen Li's spiritual power. The Dragon King of the Eastern Sea reports to the Heavenly Sovereign, who can only advise Xing Zhi to remain calm. Fu Rong sees Xing Zhi covered in bloodstains and realizes that he has truly been moved this time. Xing Zhi laments his sorry state, realizing that while he used to think the Three Realms were vast, he now finds the Eastern Sea incredibly difficult to search for Shen Li.
In the end, he lifts the ice seal on the Eastern Sea and continues his search for Shen Li's whereabouts. Fu Rong brings the unconscious Xing Zhi back to the immortal realm, where Xing Zhi, the only ancient celestial god in the immortal realm, receives blessings from the Heavenly Sovereign. Fu Rong feels heartbroken over Shen Li's sacrifice, while You Lan is curious about Xing Zhi's experiences in the mortal realm and wants to learn about the story of Shen Li and Xing Zhi.
Fu Rong refuses to reveal the details, but after being knocked unconscious by You Lan, she sees their memories in the marrow-washing pool and feels regret for their missed opportunities. The Immortal Sovereign sends You Lan with spiritual stones to console the Spirit Realm, but the people of the Spirit Realm are angry over Shen Li's death and refuse to accept the stones. Upon hearing the news, the Spirit Sovereign, although in need of the spiritual stones, decides to first soothe the emotions of the Spirit Realm's people.
He reminisces about his deep bond with Shen Li, tears streaming down his face.
