Episode 31 recap: Xing Zhi's Dominant Protection of His Wife.
In the face of Xing Zhi's restraint, Shen Li calmly expressed that she had no regrets about her decision. The two of them shared their innermost thoughts within this enclosed barrier. The next day, Shen Li woke up lying in Xing Zhi's arms and apologized for the troubles she might have caused him. Xing Zhi scolded her for her change but also revealed the origins of the Spirit Realm and the Demon Clan, as well as his heroic deeds in sealing the Abyss of Ruins in the Spirit Realm.
Regarding Fu Sheng's use of the Stillwater Technique, Xing Zhi speculated that he might have secretly learned his immortal technique. When discussing the Spirit Lord, Xing Zhi felt that he was hiding something from Shen Li, but Shen Li expressed her trust in and determination to protect her master regardless of the truth. Xing Zhi promised that he would always protect Shen Li's safety.
Fu Sheng tracked down Shen Li and Xing Zhi, mistakenly thinking they were weak and easy to deceive. Shen Li's spiritual power recovered, and with a wave of her hand, she launched fireballs directly at Fu Sheng, forcing him to take refuge within Mo Fang's body to escape. Shen Li couldn't bring herself to harm Mo Fang, but Xing Zhi intervened. Mo Fang underestimated him, but Xing Zhi discovered the deep bond between Mo Fang and Shen Li.
Shen Li had risked her life to protect Mo Fang, causing him to recognize her as the Azure King and fight for her. However, Mo Fang had demon blood within him and was manipulated by Fu Sheng as a puppet. Shen Li's attempt to reclaim her master's Scarlet Feather Spear in the Immortal Realm resulted in her being banished to the mortal world.
Xing Zhi brought Shen Li back to the Immortal Realm, causing tension among the others, especially the Heavenly Sovereign, who accused Shen Li.
