Episode 7 recap: Qi Yan saved Li Meng Meng.

Cui Anshi was preparing to force a confession from Li Meng Meng, but Li Meng Meng said she wanted to see Qi Yan. Cui Anshi prepared to use a small knife to scrape Li Meng Meng's face, but Qi Yan arrived just in time. Cui Anshi said this was a filthy place and asked Qi Yan to leave, but Qi Yan told him to step aside.

Cui Anshi claimed he was acting on the orders of the Empress Dowager, but Qi Yan told him that Li Meng Meng belonged to him. Li Meng Meng was tied to a cross by Cui Anshi, who asked her who was behind the scenes. Li Meng Meng said there was no one, but Cui Anshi didn't believe her and prepared to scrape her face with a small knife. Just then, Qi Yan arrived and Cui Anshi told him to leave because the dungeon was unlucky. Qi Yan told him to step aside, and Cui Anshi tried to stop him but was scared off by Qi Yan's loud roar.

Qi Yan approached the barely conscious Li Meng Meng and held her, preparing to leave. However, Cui Anshi claimed that Li Meng Meng was a demon and he was tasked by the Empress Dowager to punish her. Qi Yan told him that Li Meng Meng belonged to him and that no one could touch her without his orders, even if it was an order from the Empress Dowager.

He told Cui Anshi that from now on, without his command, no one could harm Li Meng Meng. After being examined by the imperial physician, Li Meng Meng was found to be fine. When the physician was about to undress her to apply medicine, Qi Yan immediately stopped him. Qi Yan asked the physician and the servants to leave, as he was about to apply medicine to Li Meng Meng himself.

Li Meng Meng woke up, and when Qi Yan saw this, he let herapply the medicine herself. Li Meng Meng asked Qi Yan if he knew that she was a girl, and Qi Yan nodded. Li Meng Meng realized that it was Qi Yan who sent Lu Huan to save her. She reached out and touched Qi Yan's face to confirm that he was real.

Just as they exchanged a few words, the Empress Dowager arrived. Qi Yan realized that he couldn't let the Empress Dowager discover Li Meng Meng here, so he quickly got on the bed and hid Li Meng Meng inside. However, there was a flaw in his plan, and the Empress Dowager uncovered the bed with a single motion.

Li Meng Meng sat up from the bed, and the sight of her caused the Empress Dowager to faint. Cui Anshi once again accused Li Meng Meng of being a demon, but Qi Yan told him that Li Meng Meng was a divine messenger sent by the heavens.

Cui Anshi suggested that if she was a divine messenger, she should heal the Empress Dowager. If the Empress Dowager recovered her health, then he would believe that Li Meng Meng was truly a divine messenger.

Zhou Quan was preparing to deliver clothes to the Noble Consort. She walked up to Kong An and pretended to fall down. Helplessly, Kong An had to go and deliver the clothes for her. Zhou Quan quickly entered and secretly met with Li Meng Meng. Zhou Quan told Li Meng Meng that everyone in the entire palace now knows that she caused the Empress Dowager to faint. If she couldn't cure the Empress Dowager within three days, she would be executed.

Upon hearing this, Li Meng Meng became scared. How could she cure someone's illness? Zhou Quan urged her to escape as soon as possible. Before the two could leave, Kong An returned. Zhou Quan acted as if her foot was twisted, making it difficult for her to walk. She asked Kong An to take her back.

Taking advantage of the situation, Li Meng Meng quickly escaped. She had a pair of Feile sneakers hanging around her neck. When Zhou Quan saw them, she asked Li Meng Meng what they were. Li Meng Meng told her they were shoes from her hometown and that they would help her run faster when escaping. Zhou Quan found it very intriguing and vowed to visit Li Meng Meng's hometown if she had the chance.

When Li Meng Meng was having a meal at a restaurant, she overheard two people discussing the Emperor's incompetence. Unable to hold herself back, she slammed the table and scolded the two individuals. As they were about to retaliate against Li Meng Meng, Qi Su appeared and dealt with them.

Qi Su asked Li Meng Meng about her plans for the future. Li Meng Meng said she just wanted to return to her hometown. She wanted to enjoy good food and watch movies every day. Qi Su asked if her hometown was truly that great. Li Meng Meng told him it was and that she could live comfortably there.

Qi Su thought that even if she became a concubine of the Emperor, she would still live comfortably. Li Meng Meng told him that it wasn't the life she desired. Qi Su thought Li Meng Meng was special, but Li Meng Meng saw herself as a deserter in her hometown, always wanting to escape when faced with any problems.

While they were having a conversation, they heard palace officials posting an imperial decree. The decree described the Empress Dowager's illness, which reminded Li Meng Meng of her mother's cervical spondylosis. Li Meng Meng remembered everything Qi Yan had done for her and approached to remove the decree.

Qi Yan noticed that the person removing the decree was Li Meng Meng. He asked if she had anything to say to him. Li Meng Meng believed that the Empress Dowager fell ill because of her own condition, and with Qi Yan treating her so well, she couldn't just stand by and do nothing.
