Episode 10 recap: Li Meng Meng and Qi Yan made an arrangement.
Li Meng Meng dressed in women's clothing and spent time with Qi Yan. She asked Qi Yan to stand not far away and not move. Qi Yan asked her what she was doing, and Li Meng Meng replied that he should just stay still for a moment. Li Meng Meng looked at Qi Yan's shadow and made a gesture with a stone. Qi Yan responded with a similar gesture. They didn't talk about love or romance, but they bumped their fists together.
Qi Yan, Qi Su, Cui Wan Er, and Li Meng Meng were chatting. Qi Su mentioned that being with Qing Luo was not bad at all, and they were becoming even closer. Cui Wan Er's cousin, Cui Qing Luo, happened to overhear and asked Qi Su if what he said was true.
Upon hearing this, Cui Qing Luo embroidered a handkerchief and gave it to Qi Su. Cui Wan Er remarked that they had grown up together since childhood. She promised that when Qi Su and Cui Qing Luo got married, she would give them a big gift. She mentioned that the pair of Western Red Coral bracelets given to her by the Empress Dowager were excellent, and she would give one to each of them as a wish for a long and harmonious union. After speaking, Cui Wan Er left.
Li Meng Meng hurriedly caught up with her and asked Cui Wan Er if she liked Qi Su. Cui Wan Er replied, "Didn't you hear everything that day?" Qi Yan and Li Meng Meng secretly prepared to visit the construction site in Luxian. Li Meng Meng was dressed in women's clothing, and Lu Huan thought she looked convincing. Qi Yan informed him that Li Meng Meng was indeed a woman. Qing Luo found Cui Wan Er and said she couldn't sleep, asking Cui Wan Er to accompany her for a walk.
Cui Wan Er was about to call Shi Tao to join them, but Qing Luo requested to speak to Cui Wan Er alone. Qing Luo took Cui Wan Er to a secluded place and asked if she still liked the prince. Qing Luo had overheard Cui Wan Er's conversation with Li Meng Meng earlier and revealed that she had liked the prince since their first meeting.
She felt that Cui Wan Er already had Qi Yan and didn't want to disturb her relationship with Qi Su anymore. Cui Wan Er believed that if the prince truly loved Qing Luo, he would marry her. Saying this, Cui Wan Er was about to leave. Cui Qing Luo grabbed her and asked her to promise not to interfere. In the struggle, Cui Wan Er fell off a cliff.
Qi Yan and Li Meng Meng met Mr. Li. Li Meng Meng noticed that Mr. Li looked exactly like her father. Li Meng Meng realized that through her time travel, she could meet her father. Mr. Li also praised Li Meng Meng, saying that the irrigation channel she drew was very clever.
When Li Meng Meng heard Mr. Li praising her, it made her as happy as when her father praised her. Shi Tao told Qi Su about Cui Wan Er's disappearance. Qi Su asked if anyone else knew about it. Shi Tao said she went to look for the Emperor but couldn't find him, so she hurried to find Qi Su.
Qi Su told her that this matter concerned Cui Wan Er's reputation and asked her not to spread the news. Qi Su found the unconscious Cui Wan Er in the mountains. He told her that he was constantly thinking about her. Cui Wan Er called out to him and asked why he didn't tell her earlier. Qi Su said he was relieved that she was safe and had scared himself.
Li Meng Meng felt that although Mr. Li wasn't her father, he looked exactly like him. Li Meng Meng wanted to spend more time with Mr. Li, but she hesitated whether to approach him or not when Mr. Li appeared. Li Meng Meng looked at Mr. Li and asked if she could hug him. Mr. Li felt it was inappropriate, but Li Meng Meng explained that it was a customary gesture in her family. Mr. Li admitted his ignorance and Li Meng Meng told him that he resembled someone very important to her. Mr. Li asked who that person was, and Li Meng Meng said it was her father.
Cui An Shi's spy informed him that Li Meng Meng was a woman. Cui An Shi immediately suspected that Qi Yan not being in the palace with Cui Wan Er was because of her, so he ordered his men to eliminate her. Li Meng Meng and Qi Yan went for a walk under the cover of night, and they made a pact not to talk about love or romance.
