Episode 24 recap: Everyone accompanied Li Meng Meng.
It turns out that a year ago, Qi Yan had a dream in which everything that happened between him and Li Meng Meng in Qi Country took place. So he wrote it into a novel hoping to find Li Meng Meng. Qi Yan brought a bouquet of flowers and the novel to Li Meng Meng's school, waiting for her, but Li Meng Meng didn't recognize him.
Qi Yan felt that Bai Lian might be right; he had become obsessed. Qi Yan followed Li Meng Meng to a convenience store and saw her looking at a photo autographed by Bai Lian with great joy. Li Meng Meng wanted to take a photo as a memento and ended up taking a picture with Qi Yan in it.
When Qi Yan left, he left the umbrella at the entrance of the convenience store. Li Meng Meng saw the umbrella and thought it was a symbol of love, so she took it with her. Two years later, Li Meng Meng and Qi Yan were planning to have a late-night snack, but Li Meng Meng felt it would be too late to go home after dinner and decided against it.
Li Meng Meng complained that they had less time to meet since she started working. Qi Yan asked when her mother would be available, as he wanted to formally visit. Li Meng Meng asked why he wanted it to be formal, and Qi Yan said that the first meeting should be formal. As soon as Li Meng Meng got home, she saw her mother preparing to go out. She asked her mother where she was going, and her mother said she had a business trip for a week.
When Li Meng Meng returned to her room, she told Qi Yan that her mother was on a business trip and asked if he could buy some dumplings and bring them over. Qi Yan quickly arrived, and Li Meng Meng asked him how he got there so fast. Qi Yan said he was already on his way when she messaged him.
Li Meng Meng mentioned that it was raining heavily outside and suggested that he stay at her place for the night. She found her cousin's clothes for Qi Yan to wear. Qi Yan said he had already told Bai Lian and asked him to deliver the clothes after his event ended. Li Meng Meng was happy to hear that Bai Lian was coming and Qi Yan asked why she was so excited.
Li Meng Meng said he was super handsome and asked Qi Yan if he wouldn't have told her about Bai Lian being his uncle if they hadn't met on the street that day. Qi Yan said there would have been a chance, and he suggested they all have a meal together next time and invite Duo'er along.
After Qi Yan finished showering, Li Meng Meng applied skincare products to him. Qi Yan asked her why it was different from what she had used earlier.
Li Meng Meng said that this one suited him better, but in reality, it was because the other one was nearing its expiration date, and she needed to finish it quickly. Bai Lian called Qi Yan and said that he had finished his event too late the previous day but was now on his way to deliver something to him. Qi Yan and Li Meng Meng were sitting on the couch watching Bai Lian sing when suddenly Li Meng Meng received a phone call from her mother, informing her that her business trip had been changed to an online meeting.
Li Meng Meng quickly asked Qi Yan to get ready to go out, but as soon as she opened the door, she saw Bai Lian and her mother coincidentally meeting and already at the doorstep. Li Meng Meng's mother even mistook Bai Lian for her boyfriend. Bai Lian asked Li Meng Meng what was going on and where Qi Yan had gone. Li Meng Meng glanced at her room.
The more Li Meng Meng's mother looked at Bai Lian, the more she thought he resembled the celebrity Li Meng Meng liked in high school. She wanted to go into Li Meng Meng's room to find his autographed postcard. Li Meng Meng was afraid her mother would see Qi Yan, so she and Bai Lian conspired to make Qi Yan leave. Just as Qi Yan was about to walk out of the door, he ran into Li Meng Meng's mother coming out of the room. Bai Lian quickly said that Qi Yan was his nephew. However, her attitude towards Qi Yan and Bai Lian was completely different. Qi Yan couldn't bear it anymore and pushed Bai Lian away.
Li Meng Meng quickly told her mother that Qi Yan was actually her boyfriend. Li Meng Meng's mother looked at the three of them with confusion, but she received affirmative answers from all of them. Li Meng Meng and Qi Yan took a walk by the seaside, and Bai Lian and Duo'er joined them. Duo'er called them over to eat. Li Meng Meng looked at their familiar faces and felt that everything that happened in Qi Country was real.
She felt that Yangcheng and her father were as if it all happened yesterday and was about to pat someone who looked like Lu Huan on the back. While they were eating, Li Tao called Sai Xue, and Lu Huan wondered why Li Tao would call Sai Xue on his birthday. He said that they were in a special situation. The group spent a wonderful evening chatting and laughing.
