Episode 2 recap: Li Meng Meng has been falsely accused.
Qi Yan was holding Li Meng Meng's phone and suddenly it rang, which startled Qi Yan and made him drop it to the ground. Li Meng Meng was arranged to live in a courtyard within the prison compound, where many other men also resided. In the middle of the night, Li Meng Meng was kept awake by the sound of their snoring and the buzzing of mosquitoes, so she secretly climbed over the wall and escaped.
Just as she came out, she ran into Zhou Quan, who was trying to sell his own book to Li Meng Meng. Someone in the communal sleeping area heard Li Meng Meng's voice and woke up.
He told Li Meng Meng that he also wanted to go home when he first arrived, but now things were better. Suddenly, he noticed the doll in Li Meng Meng's hands and asked if he could take a look. Li Meng Meng, unsuspecting, handed it over to him.
As expected, while Li Meng Meng was asleep, the person took her doll and left a note inside. Li Meng Meng fell asleep in the emperor's study, and coincidentally, the emperor arrived. After examining it, she told Qi Yan that the person who wrote it was left-handed. Li Meng Meng quickly approached and grabbed Cui Wan Er, calling her Duo Er and asking if she had also come.
Before Cui Wan Er could reply, the nanny next to her pushed Li Meng Meng away. Qi Su, the prince consort, returned to the city, and the ministers wanted Qi Yan to go to the city gate to receive him. However, Qi Yan secretly left the palace, and Li Meng Meng happened to encounter him, so they left together.
