Episode 23 recap: Li Meng Meng returned to the present.
Li Meng Meng asked Qi Yan to accompany her to see the sea, and Qi Yan took her there on a horse. The two played with a bubble machine by the seaside, splashing water at each other playfully. Li Meng Meng felt that this place was wonderful, without a single worry. Qi Yan said he promised her to come and see the sea together, and the two shared a sweet kiss by the seaside.
Li Meng Meng arranged stones in the shape of "I love you" in English, and Qi Yan asked her what those shapes were. Li Meng Meng said it was the way people in her hometown express love, and then she said she was tired. Li Meng Meng asked Qi Yan if he would always remember, and Qi Yan said of course, and Li Meng Meng said she would always remember him too.
Qi Yan told Li Meng Meng to go to sleep first and he would wake her up at sunrise. When the sunrise came, Li Meng Meng was nowhere to be found, only her bubble machine remained on the ground. Li Meng Meng told her mother that she had been immature before and always made her angry, but now she wanted to become her parents' pride.
Li Meng Meng's mother said she had also thought a lot these days and realized her own shortcomings. Li Meng Meng said she had been too afraid of failure before, that's why she didn't dare to try. Li's mother told her not to be afraid of failure, as she would always be Li Meng Meng's strong support.
Li Meng Meng found her good friend Duo'er, who asked her how her exams went. Li Meng Meng told her that she passed the exams. Duo'er felt like Li Meng Meng had changed, and Li Meng Meng said that she used to be pushed to study, but now she realized that studying was her own responsibility.

On the way back, when Li Meng Meng looked at her photos, she noticed a person who looked exactly like Qi Yan in her pictures. She remembered that Duo'er had recommended her to read a novel where the protagonist had the same name as Li Meng Meng. Li Meng Meng quickly flipped through that book and found that it was exactly the same as her dream.
Li Meng Meng couldn't wait to see how her story with Qi Yan ended in the book. It was written that after Qi Yan returned from the seaside, he never believed that Li Meng Meng had left. He always felt that Li Meng Meng had just become transparent and was always by his side.
In Qi Guo, Lu Huan brought Qi Yan the birthday gift Qi Su had given him. Qi Yan asked him to take it to the study and said he would see it after celebrating his birthday with Li Meng Meng. Lu Huan looked at the empty space beside him and sighed before leaving. Qi Yan made three birthday wishes, all hoping that Li Meng Meng would be with him.

Li Meng Meng saw it and immediately grabbed an umbrella and ran towards Linzhou Bridge. She told Qi Yan to wait for her. When Li Meng Meng arrived at Linzhou Bridge, she saw a man who looked exactly like Qi Yan. Suddenly, it started raining, and Li Meng Meng quickly opened the umbrella to shelter Qi Yan.
