Episode 9 recap: Mo Qingcheng arranged a date with Gu Sheng.
Mo Qingcheng messaged Gu Sheng, asking what he would like to eat for dinner. Gu Sheng replied that he still had one more class and was currently attending it. Gu Sheng noticed that Mo Qingcheng was sitting right behind him and asked how he got there. Mo Qingcheng said he came to accompany Gu Sheng to class and then they could have a meal together. Gu Sheng asked Mo Qingcheng what they usually did on their previous dates, to which Mo Qingcheng replied that he had never been on a date before. Gu Sheng mentioned that he had never been on a date either.
Mo Qingcheng demonstrated this dialogue to everyone, and Gu Sheng and the others were very excited upon hearing Mo Qingcheng's recitation. The event also invited many people from the ancient-style community to sing online, and the host mentioned that this event was a special treat for the fans. Gu Sheng and the others felt that the invited guests were not arranged by the organizers but were likely brought by Mo Qingcheng and Jue Mei. They all admired the friendship that had been built up during their humble beginnings.
Mo Qingcheng sang a song, which greatly excited Gu Sheng and the others. Gu Sheng sent a message to Mo Qingcheng, asking if he was busy. Mo Qingcheng replied that he had a few things to attend to at the moment and would call Gu Sheng once he was done. Mo Qingcheng finished his tasks after midnight and sent a message to Gu Sheng instead of calling her. Gu Sheng woke up and saw the message from Mo Qingcheng, which made her very happy.
Zhou Zheng mentioned that he accidentally damaged the contract and needed to find Geng Xiaoxing to sign another one. Zhou Zheng went to the school to find Geng Xiaoxing, who happened to be heading to a physical education class and was running late. Zhou Zheng decided to drive Geng Xiaoxing there. Geng Xiaoxing had an exam, and Zhou Zheng waited by her side. After Geng Xiaoxing finally passed the exam, she was extremely excited. The teacher said that Geng Xiaoxing had no further obligations and urged her to go quickly, as her boyfriend was probably anxiously waiting for her.

Gu Sheng's club rented a house in the nearby neighborhood as their studio, and each person took turns cleaning. It was currently Gu Sheng's turn. Mo Qingcheng wanted to accompany Gu Sheng, but she felt it wouldn't be appropriate for him to see her cleaning. However, Mo Qingcheng expressed that he came to see her today because he wanted to be with her, and it didn't matter what they did. So Gu Sheng brought Mo Qingcheng along.
Zou Diao'er was taking a nap and noticed the close interactions between Gu Sheng and Mo Qingcheng. She pulled Gu Sheng aside and asked why she had someone else with her when she was getting close to Qiang Qingci. Gu Sheng didn't want Zou Diao'er to know that Mo Qingcheng was Qiang Qingci, so she said he was a senior from a neighboring school. Mo Qingcheng helped Gu Sheng with the cleaning, and the club president and others also came over. They didn't think it was right for guests to clean, so they all pitched in to help. Gu Sheng then invited them for a meal.
Zou Diao'er wanted to go to Gu Sheng's school cafeteria for the braised chicken. Gu Sheng informed her that it was already sold out, and Mo Qingcheng offered to cook it. Zou Diao'er and Mo Qingcheng went grocery shopping together. Zou Diao'er mentioned that there were many people pursuing Gu Sheng, including a famous voice actor who had a close relationship with her. Mo Qingcheng expressed that he still needed to work hard.
