Episode 22 recap: Mo Qingcheng braved the rain to find Gu Sheng.

Geng Xiaoxing was fortunate that today he had business at the branch school, and Zhou Zheng came to find him. They agreed to meet at a bookstore. Zhou Zheng asked Geng Xiaoxing if he had ever listened to vinyl records, mentioning that people like them enjoyed listening to them, so he wanted to buy some for himself. Geng Xiaoxing replied that he hadn't listened to them before but was quite interested. After they finished shopping, they went to the bus stop together. It started raining, and Zhou Zheng mentioned that back when they were in school, there was only one sign at the bus stop, unlike now, with rain shelters.

Geng Xiaoxing remarked that if he had known it was going to rain today, he wouldn't have come out and felt sorry for inconveniencing Zhou Zheng. Zhou Zheng thought it shouldn't be said like that. When he was in school, there was only one main campus, and there were no branch schools. So, for him, it was also an experience today. Geng Xiaoxing recalled a previous meeting when it was also raining, and Zhou Zheng remembered that occasion too. They were talking on the bus at that time.

The bus arrived quickly, and Geng Xiaoxing was about to board when Zhou Zheng stopped her, suggesting that they didn't need to squeeze with everyone else since there were plenty of seats on the bus, and there was no rush. Geng Xiaoxing and Zhou Zheng got on the bus, and on the way back to school, it was a smooth ride. Geng Xiaoxing leaned against the seat and fell asleep, while Zhou Zheng attended to some work matters. When Geng Xiaoxing returned to the dormitory, her roommate told her that there would be heavy rain today, but fortunately, Gu Sheng was at home, so she didn't need to worry.

Geng Xiaoxing didn't know if Zhou Zheng had arrived home safely, so she sent him a message to ask. Zhou Zheng responded that he had already arrived but didn't know what else to message about. He jokingly told Mao Ge to open the project, as he wouldn't sleep tonight and would take care of it. Mao Ge felt frustrated that the messages weren't going through in Zhou Zheng's area and thought he was still too young.

Fei Shao mentioned that he missed Dou Dou, and Wang Ke said that he and Dou Dou were brothers, advising Fei Shao not to have any ideas about hurting Dou Dou. Fei Shao explained that it was because Mo Qingcheng wasn't around, and Dou Dou's cooking was the most delicious. Fei Shao missed the meals Dou Dou made. Gu Sheng was staying in the store and couldn't go back now. She told her family that she was at a classmate's house and assured them that she was very safe. She asked them not to worry and advised them not to go out because it was dangerous.

Mo Qingcheng was currently at the branch campus. The nearby subway lines were all suspended, and the heavy rain made it difficult to drive. So, he decided to wait there for a while. Mo Qingcheng called Gu Sheng and sensed something was wrong with her. He messaged his colleague on duty, asking him to go to the convenience store across the street and check on her. The colleague arrived at Gu Sheng's location and confirmed that she was indeed there. He mentioned that Mo Qingcheng had sent him and since she was fine, he would return to duty. He told Gu Sheng to lock the door and not open it for anyone.

Gu Sheng messaged Mo Qingcheng, asking how he knew she was at the convenience store and feeling that she couldn't hide it from him. Mo Qingcheng, concerned that Gu Sheng was alone at the convenience store, couldn't rest easy and drove back in the rain. Gu Sheng set up a folding bed and was about to rest when she received Mo Qingcheng's call, asking her to open the door. She quickly opened the door to let Mo Qingcheng in.

Mo Qingcheng said he had just come from the hospital and hadn't eaten much. He asked Gu Sheng if there was an electric rice cooker available. Gu Sheng found one and gave it to Mo Qingcheng. There was also some ready-made hotpot soup in the store. Mo Qingcheng used the soup to cook a small hotpot. The steam from the hotpot fogged up the glass, and Gu Sheng drew many small hearts on it.

Gu Sheng felt that whatever Mo Qingcheng casually made turned out to be so delicious. She suggested that they should open a small restaurant in the future, as they would surely have many customers.
