Episode 4 recap: 顾声 and Mo Qingcheng met each other.
While Gu Sheng was watching the store, he overheard the newly arrived Xiao Dong chatting with a friend. Xiao Dong mentioned that his favorite voice actor had posted on Weibo about their favorite sound. Gu Sheng didn't think it could be a coincidence and assumed it wasn't about himself. Xiao Dong expressed his current admiration for the slowed-down voice, which made Gu Sheng feel embarrassed because he didn't expect it to be about himself.
Gu Sheng received a voice message from Mo Qingcheng but was hesitant to listen to it since Mo Qingcheng's fans were nearby. Gu Sheng's father arrived at the supermarket to take over the shift, and after Gu Sheng went outside, he listened to the voice message from Mo Qingcheng. Mo Qingcheng mentioned that he had just finished a busy schedule and might sleep until 1 a.m., asking Gu Sheng to leave him a message if there was anything important, as he would see it when he woke up.
When Xiao Dong came out and saw that Gu Sheng hadn't left yet, Gu Sheng said he would leave soon but realized his car keys were missing. Xiao Dong went inside and retrieved the car keys for Gu Sheng. Gu Sheng worked late into the night and finally finished recording a song. He chatted with Mo Qingcheng, mentioning that he had recorded a song. Mo Qingcheng advised Gu Sheng not to record so late in the future as it could strain his voice. Mo Qingcheng shared a small tip with him, suggesting that he should find some sesame oil in the kitchen and gargle with it, which would help make his throat feel better the next day.
Gu Sheng sneaked into the kitchen and took a sip of sesame oil, telling Mo Qingcheng that he had done it. Gu Sheng felt awkward and didn't know what else to say. He mentioned to Mo Qingcheng that he had seen some snail meat prepared by his mother in the refrigerator and that they might have pearl snail slices tomorrow. He looked up the recipe and shared it with Mo Qingcheng. Mo Qingcheng felt even hungrier after hearing about it, but Gu Sheng thought it wasn't appropriate to talk about food so late at night.
Mo Qingcheng booked a recording studio and wanted to record a song together with Gu Sheng. The newly arrived intern, Xi You, overheard this and was extremely excited. Xi You couldn't believe that Mo Qingcheng was actually their idol, Qiang Qingci, and that they got to meet him on their first day.
Xi You had signed a confidentiality agreement, so they couldn't believe that their true identities were revealed. They were extremely excited and mentioned that they had been a fan of Mo Qingcheng for several years.
Gu Sheng was practicing singing here and mentioned that he had already recorded a demo, but the other party didn't seem satisfied with it. They might have to re-record it. Meanwhile, Mo Qingcheng recorded his lines twice and asked Gu Sheng which version he liked better. Gu Sheng thought both versions were excellent.
Some people thought that since Gu Sheng liked Mo Qingcheng and Mo Qingcheng said he liked Gu Sheng's voice the most, it would be great if they could collaborate live in the studio as a memorable experience. Everyone agreed, and Mo Qingcheng agreed as well. Mo Qingcheng chose the song "With You Returning," and the two of them entered the recording studio. Others could tell that Mo Qingcheng's true feelings were no longer concealed.
