Episode 42 recap: Bai Yujue and Luo Hao's relationship is heating up.

Wang Tingzhi deliberately chose a time when everyone was in the store to propose to Huang Yilin and give her a status, but Huang Yilin didn't like the lack of ceremony in the proposal. She stopped Wang Tingzhi from kneeling down twice and bluntly expressed that it wasn't romantic enough.

Wang Tingzhi felt a bit frustrated, so he changed his strategy. He asked Huang Yilin to wear the ring he had specially prepared for her first. Everyone was happy with the idea, and Huang Yilin went along with the suggestion and put on the ring.

Luo Hao was going to inspect a project, and Bai Yujue volunteered to go with him. Luo Hao looked at Bai Yujue's high heels and felt worried for her, but Bai Yujue didn't mind. They went together, but Bai Yujue got stuck on a muddy dirt road. In a moment of panic, Luo Hao tried to help Bai Yujue but ended up slipping and falling into the mud himself. Nevertheless, he carried Bai Yujue on his back and slowly walked through the muddy section, taking her to the hospital. This act deeply moved Bai Yujue.

Huang Yilin wasn't ready to be a mother to two children yet. Although she accepted Wang Tingzhi's ring earlier that day, she took the opportunity of being alone with him in the evening to take off the ring and explain that she wanted their relationship to naturally progress to this stage, rather than using a child to bind Wang Tingzhi to her.

Wang Tingzhi quickly explained that he had prepared the ring long ago and that whether they had a child or not, he would still propose to Huang Yilin. He placed the ring in Huang Yilin's hands and let her choose when to wear it. This greatly touched Huang Yilin.

When Bai Yujue woke up, she saw Luo Hao sleeping on the couch, watching over her. Her heart was filled with warmth, and she smiled at Luo Hao.
