Just Between Us episode 35 recap and spoilers

Episode 35 recap: Huang Yi Lin hopes for reconciliation with Wang Ting Zhi.

Huang Yi Lin is feeling down because Wang Ting Zhi doesn't remember her. Ji Ming can't stand seeing her in such a despondent state. He lists Huang Yi Lin's strengths, such as running her own profitable shop, and he can't understand why she would compete with Bai Yu Jue for a man and lack confidence in herself.

Huang Yi Lin can't let go of the fact that Wang Ting Zhi forgot about her. The thought of Bai Yu Jue and Wang Ting Zhi being childhood sweethearts and each other's first love, now working together at the same hotel, makes her worry that their old feelings might reignite. Ji Ming can't bear to see Huang Yi Lin so dejected, so he compliments her, saying she is just as beautiful as Bai Yu Jue, and encourages her to regain her confidence. He also reminds her that she is the official and only stepmother designated by Wang Qianqian.

Suddenly, Wang Qianqian calls and says she can't find Wang Ting Zhi. She urgently needs to find him because she has to submit her application as an exchange student in Macau today. Huang Yi Lin immediately tries to contact Wang Ting Zhi, but after eight unanswered calls, she realizes that he is currently busy with Bai Yu Jue, working on improving their dish recipes, and his phone is on silent mode, so he hasn't noticed the calls.

Huang Yi Lin goes to the hotel to find Wang Ting Zhi and unexpectedly comes across him and Bai Yu Jue taking a stroll together. Seeing their intimate behavior pains Huang Yi Lin, and she gets angry and walks away, blaming herself for disturbing Wang Ting Zhi's date with someone else.

Wang Ting Zhi immediately chases after Huang Yi Lin, trying to explain that it's not what she thinks. However, she is furious because he didn't answer her calls or message her all day. She leaves him behind and runs away. But when she gets home, she still hopes that Wang Ting Zhi will call her.
