Episode 38 recap: Huang Yi Lin, Wang Ting Zhi, and Ji Ming brainstormed ways to revive the herbal tea shop owned by Aunt Hao.
Ji Ming, realizing that he was only a livestreamer, asked Wang Ting Zhi, a professional chef, to come up with ideas. Wang Ting Zhi remembered how Ji Ming had disguised himself as a construction worker to prevent him from selling the shop, so he sarcastically commented on Ji Ming's lack of expertise.
Ji Ming mistakenly thought that Wang Ting Zhi was holding a glass of lemon tea and believed that herbal tea was only popular among older generations. He was momentarily unsure of how to proceed until Wang Ting Zhi clarified that he was actually drinking herbal tea and quizzed Ji Ming about his knowledge of it. Ji Ming learned that herbal tea can promote digestion and noticed that Wang Ting Zhi drank three cups in a row, suspecting that he might have some digestive issues. This made it difficult for Wang Ting Zhi to continue the conversation, so he got up and went to find Huang Yi Lin. Together, Wang Ting Zhi, Huang Yi Lin, and Ji Ming put their heads together and renovated the herbal tea shop. They also created a variety of new herbal tea blends. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the shop was still empty. Just when they were feeling discouraged, a person who was attracted by the tea menu arrived and took several photos, but didn't actually enjoy drinking the herbal tea. This greatly frustrated Huang Yi Lin. Aunt Hao, seeing Huang Yi Lin's distress, quickly comforted her and advised her not to worry, as it takes time for a new shop to become popular. Luo Hao, upon learning about Huang Yi Lin's herbal tea shop, made a special visit to show his support, and Wang Ting Zhi immediately displayed his possessiveness by standing close to Huang Yi Lin. Bai Yu Jue also arrived and felt sour seeing the affectionate interaction between Huang Yi Lin and Wang Ting Zhi.
