Episode 8 recap: Little Seven has returned to Qing Ye's side.

Little Seven misunderstood Wang Shi Tu, thinking that Wang Shi Tu believed Jin Man Fu rather than himself. Little Seven still can't understand Wang Shi Tu's helplessness. When Little Seven was detained, Wang Shi Tu felt pity for him and sent him a bowl of instant noodles. However, Little Seven pretended to be poisoned while eating the noodles, which greatly frightened Wang Shi Tu.

Yan Zi learned that Little Seven had been detained and went to find his father. But he didn't expect that it was actually his father who had orchestrated this. The father told Yan Zi that the moment Little Seven stepped into their home, this outcome was predetermined. Either Little Seven goes to jail, or Bian Jie does, and he asked Yan Zi to choose. Little Seven was sent to the hospital, and when he tried to escape, Wang Shi Tu discovered him. Little Seven then grabbed a pair of scissors and held them to his own neck, warning Wang Shi Tu not to come close, saying he had no choice but to become Bian Jie's scapegoat. Wang Shi Tu hoped Little Seven would trust that he could find a solution.

Wang Shi Tu told Little Seven that if he fled now, it would be seen as fleeing from crime, and he would be wanted nationwide. If he got caught again, there would be no chance left. As soon as Wang Shi Tu finished speaking, he had a heart attack. Little Seven seized the opportunity to escape, and coincidentally ran into Yan Zi, who gave him money and took off his own necklace, urging Little Seven to run as far away as possible.

Wang Shi Tu did not die. He recovered after Little Seven saw his medicine on the floor and dripped it into Wang Shi Tu's mouth, since Wang Shi Tu was struggling to reach it. Since Wang Shi Tu would not help him, Little Seven had to find a way on his own to prove he was not Bian Jie.

Old Cao came to the hospital to see Wang Shi Tu, knowing he would not stay put. He ordered Wang Shi Tu to recover in the hospital. As for Little Seven's escape, Wang Shi Tu had to write a deep reflection, because even though Wang Shi Tu did not intentionally let Little Seven go, others may not believe him.

Little Seven reminisces about the days he spent with Jie Ba. At the time, Jie Ba took good care of him, never letting him steal, worried that it would dirty his hands. So Jie Ba would share the money he stole with Little Seven. When Little Seven went to tell Qing Ye the news of Jie Ba's death, Qing Ye didn't even care. In Qing Ye's eyes, they were just money-making dogs. This time, Little Seven wants to return to Qing Ye's side and take revenge for Jie Ba in his own way.

Little Seven is wanted nationwide, so he dares not contact Wang Shi Tu directly. Instead, he has Wang Jia pass a message to Wang Shi Tu, saying he is not Bian Jie, and that Qing Ye can prove his identity. He has left a '77' mark by the river, and following that trail will lead to Qing Ye's hideout.

Meanwhile, the police have also received information about San Gu Niang's child trafficking. After investigation, they found that most of the children she trafficked were sent to Qing Ye. Based on the clues provided by Little Seven, Wang Shi Tu believes they can investigate the two cases together and arrest Qing Ye's gang.

Little Seven's return to Qing Ye's side is not easy. Qing Ye constantly tortures him, even trying to scare him into revealing his true purpose for coming back. Before Qing Ye can act, someone knocks on the door, and Qing Ye discovers they are looking for Little Seven and San Gu Niang. Seeing the newcomer unaware, Qing Ye and his men quickly flee the scene after Qing Ye strikes the man on the head with a wooden board. Little Seven notices a recording device on the table pointed towards the entrance, so he quietly takes the recording.
