Episode 11 recap: Du Yi confessed the truth about killing Wang Shuai back then.
Du Yuan Xian went to the police station to turn himself in, confessing that he was the one who killed Wang Shuai, but he was unaware of Bian Jie's disappearance. By the time Wang Shi Tu and the others arrived at Du Yuan Xian's home, Du Yi did not run away, but instead waited at the doorstep for the police to arrive.
This time, Du Yi did not lie, but truthfully recounted the process of killing Wang Shuai years ago. His first account was entirely false - the truth was that Wang Shuai and Bian Jie were close friends, and Du Yi had never approved of this. One time, Bian Jie asked Du Yi to come to his house to get a camera, as Bian Jie planned to pawn it to the boss of a game hall, since he had no money on him.

Wang Shuai said that both he and Du Yi were like toads wanting to eat swan meat, and this statement enraged Du Yi. They started to fight, and Bian Jie tried to mediate, but Wang Shuai revealed Du Yi's secret of taking Yan Zi's photo. Bian Jie wanted to see the photo, but Du Yi told him not to believe Wang Shuai.
During the fight, Du Yi's wallet fell out, and Bian Jie saw the photo inside. Bian Jie did not want Du Yi to keep such a photo, so he hid it in his own pocket. In a fit of rage, Du Yi stabbed Wang Shuai, and to prevent Bian Jie from escaping, he forced Bian Jie to also stab Wang Shuai with the knife.
Bian Jie, being timid and afraid, could only follow Du Yi's instructions. After burying the body, Bian Jie went home to get money, and the two planned to flee. But Du Yi truly waited at the Jin family's doorstep until midnight, and did not see Bian Jie again, only seeing Jin Man Fu driving out of the house.

So Xiao Qi sneaked back to the Jin family to ask Bian Mei Zhen about the nunchaku, only to find that it could no longer be found. He was then caught by Jin Man Fu and Bian Yu Tang, who chased him out of the house. Bian Yu Tang even beat him up, but luckily Yan Zi returned in time to stop her uncle.
Yan Zi told Xiao Qi that this was no longer his home and he should not come back. Xiao Qi glanced at the house and said that it had never really felt like a home anymore, then turned and left.
