Episode 17 recap: Zhao Xiao Ren met the Poison King.
Zhao Xiao Ren and Zuo Xia Chen met this woman and discovered that she was the Poison King. Zhao Xiao Ren stated that he had come to find her to save someone, and hoped she could help save his husband. The Poison King thought that Li Wei was Zhao Xiao Ren's husband, and said that if she were to save him, Zhao Xiao Ren must die.
The Poison King said that since Zhao Xiao Ren had seen her, he had already been poisoned, and that if he died, Li Wei would not survive either. Zuo Xia Chen was confused and asked the Poison King why she wanted to kill Li Wei, at which point the Poison King realized Li Wei was not Zhao Xiao Ren's husband.
The Poison King said the antidote was with the Sect Leader in the Forbidden Area, which was full of poisons and mist. She told Zhao Xiao Ren to decide for himself whether to go there. Without hesitation, Zhao Xiao Ren immediately took the pill.
At the Forbidden Area, Zhao Xiao Ren experienced many hallucinations, even thinking that Jun Mo wanted to kill him. Zuo Xia Chen and the Poison King waited outside, very worried about Zhao Xiao Ren but unable to do anything. Eventually, Zhao Xiao Ren emerged from the illusions.
