Episode 26 recap: The truth has come to light - Mario has been arrested.

Cha had intended to explain to Tan Jing Tian that he had miscalculated, but Tan Jing Tian was convinced of his own deductions and did not care who the suspect was. Cha found the nephew of the musician, who confessed that it was Prince Rama who had stolen his drugs, and then he had tracked Prince Rama, only to discover that he had committed suicide by injecting drugs.

Now, based on Prince Rama's suicide, Cha analyzed that he must have been trying to implicate someone, otherwise he would not have gone to such lengths. Given the circumstances at the scene, the only person he could have been pointing to was Mario, as he was found clutching Mario's cufflink.

Tan Jing Tian recalled a case that Master Jin Ling had told him about in the country, where insects affected by drugs could cause forensic errors in estimating the time of death, sometimes by as much as 29 hours. Cha decided to contact Jin Ling, but her phone was not answering. Cha became very alert, as if these cases were all related to Mario, then Jin Ling might be in danger.

Tan Jing Tian became very anxious and wanted to go find Jin Ling. Cha immediately arranged for Ding to track Jin Ling's phone. Eventually, Jin Ling answered, as she had been busy in the lab. Tan Jing Tian said he would go pick her up from work, and Cha decided to accompany them to quickly obtain the experimental samples.

However, before leaving work, Mario told Jin Ling that he had a clue about the 15-year-old charred body and wanted her to come with him to Sukhothai province. Jin Ling, without much thought, put down her work and left with Mario. Tan Jing Tian and Cha went to Lanya's house, where they found the wings of a rare white witch moth in the garbage, as well as a bottle of drugs that Cha recognized from Jin Ling's lab. Realizing the situation was dire, Cha immediately rushed to the lab.

Chai, along with Tan Jing Tian and De Xian, went to Mario's house, and arranged for Ka to go to the lab. On the way, De, based on Tan Jing Tian's suggestion, obtained Mario's medical examination report, which further confirmed his suspicion. Mario was missing the small toe on his right foot, and the bottle found at Lan Ya's house was from the forensic laboratory.

Tan Jing Tian also found a book full of malicious content against women in Mario's house, which described ways to torture female victims. Photos of the victims were found inside. Mario had tortured these women according to the methods described in the book, and they discovered a photo of Jin Ling, indicating that Mario intended to drown her in a large water barrel and torture her to death.

Jin Ling had also noticed Mario's abnormal behavior, but her messages to Tan Jing Tian had not been sent. After getting out of the car, she found a signal jammer in Mario's car, but before she could react, she was knocked unconscious from behind by Mario. When Jin Ling regained consciousness, Mario had already helped her. He recounted his childhood story, where the charred body from 15 years ago was actually his adoptive mother. Mario believed his mother was a witch, and from that point on, he started researching how to kill witches.

Later, he met Zonglaweimo, who was as beautiful as his mother, and he fell in love with her. Believing that she was also taken by a witch, he killed all the women he encountered, including Jin Ling, in his distorted perception. Chai mobilized all available police forces to search the city for Jin Ling's whereabouts, and they finally rescued her from Mario's captivity. They later learned that Mario suffered from schizophrenia and viewed the women he loved as being possessed by witches, though they shared the characteristics of being beautiful, with oval faces, long hair, and tall stature, similar to his adoptive mother.

The case was solved, and Chai received commendation. Tan Jing Tian, accompanied by Jin Ling, was able to overcome his fear of the truth and became more willing to face it.
