Episode 2 recap: Lin Mengchen and Ye Xiaosheng became rivals.
In the moment when fireworks bloomed, Lin Mengchen and Ye Xiaosheng remembered their date with each other. They immediately fiercely confronted each other, and in the end, both of them got injured. They silently went their separate ways. Lin Mengchen changed back into her usual clothes and hurried towards Pingqiao while rubbing her shoulder. Ye Xiaosheng endured the pain in his arm and quickly rushed over. When the two met, a dagger accidentally fell from Lin Mengchen's body. Ye Xiaosheng heard the noise and wanted to take a closer look, but Lin Mengchen quickly kicked the dagger away and pulled Ye Xiaosheng to release the lanterns.
Lin Mengchen made a wish, hoping that Cao Fang could escape and that both she and Ye Xiaosheng would be safe. Just as Lin Mengchen was about to release the lanterns, the pain in her shoulder made her stop. She handed the task of releasing the lanterns to Ye Xiaosheng. Although Ye Xiaosheng's arm was in pain, he didn't dare to show any signs of it and still released the lanterns. Today, Ye Xiaosheng accompanied Lin Mengchen to school. As soon as they reached the entrance, Qi Zeyu rushed over and blocked Lin Mengchen. He excitedly claimed that they had met in the small woods before, but Lin Mengchen denied it. After driving him away, she quickly entered the school. However, after school, she went to the Qingfeng Clinic to find Qi Zeyu and warned him that he must act as if he didn't know her and that they would never meet again. Qi Zeyu fell in love with Lin Mengchen at first sight and, of course, refused to agree. But when Ye Xiaosheng came to see her, he instinctively helped cover for Lin Mengchen. Unfortunately, Lin Mengchen revealed herself out of fear of mice, which made Ye Xiaosheng even more worried.
