Episode 15 recap: Mo Gu Zi died.
Someone secretly sneaked into the book depository to steal books. While the guards were chatting during their night patrol, they suddenly became possessed by a dark energy. One of the guards' eyes turned black and red, and they started attacking their companions. Qi Xiao Xuan approached Mrs. Qi (Old lady), who told Qi Xiao Xuan that five hundred years ago, this ship carried a legion of demon masters fleeing from the Peak Valley. Qi Xiao Xuan quickly deduced that the ship was made from the bone of the Demon Emperor.
Mrs. Qi (Old lady) continued, saying that their ancestors killed the Demon Emperor but triggered the spread of the Nether Sea. They turned the bone of the Demon Emperor into the ship, and the bow of the ship was left with the Qi family. Mrs. Qi (Old lady) instructed Elder to tell Qi Xiao Xuan the reason the bow was left behind, and Qi Xiao Xuan seemed to have discovered their true identity.
Zhao Xin Tong, Wang Yu Qian, and Hu Zi returned to the inn, but the innkeeper informed them that their belongings had been packed and asked them to leave quickly. They also mentioned having other plans for Hu Zi and expressed regret that they would soon lose this inn they found. Wang Yu Qian, frustrated by the damp firewood that wouldn't ignite, angrily tore apart the book they had written to use as fuel.
Wang Yu Qian decided that they didn't want to associate with those absurd demon masters because what they were doing was outrageous. Zhao Xin Tong also felt that they had misjudged Qi Xiao Xuan. They had trusted him so much and considered him a friend, but they never imagined he would abandon the three of them.
Zhao Xin Tong decided to stay, and Hu Zi also chose to remain, revealing to their companions that they might truly be a monster. They had been unaware of their true nature, but recent memories had gradually surfaced, revealing that they were a demon and that their mother was a tiger demon. Zhao Xin Tong and Wang Yu Qian didn't despise Hu Zi upon learning this; instead, they continued to treat him as their friend and refused to believe he was a monster.
Hu Zi felt relieved to finally speak the truth from their heart. They finally found some peace of mind.
Zhao Xin Tong said that if Hu Zi went to find their mother, they would definitely accompany him, and Wang Yu Qian also felt that they would accompany their friend. The elders were scared when they saw the monster going crazy and felt that there was danger among the villagers.
