Episode 14 recap: Qi Xiao Xuan cut ties with Hu Zi.

Everyone was a bit puzzled as to why Qi Xiao Xuan would do such a thing. Wang Yu Qian tried to use her brick to heal Hu Zi, but at that moment, the referee announced that Qi Yan Ran had obtained the position of commander, and everyone cheered. Mrs. Qi (Old lady) saw Qi Yan Ran becoming the commander and felt that there must be some undisclosed secret behind it. Without saying a word, she left angrily.

Qi Zi Lu, on the other hand, wore a sly smile as if he had known the outcome long ago. Hu Zi finally woke up, but Qi Xiao Xuan left without a word or any explanation. Qi Yan Ran used dark magic on Qi Xiao Xuan, which Wu Li Dan couldn't understand. Why would Qi Yan Ran harm Qi Xiao Xuan at any cost?

Qi Yan Ran told Wu Li Dan that it was a deal between Qi Xiao Xuan and herself, and it was none of anyone else's business. She wanted Wu Li Dan to join her as an accomplice and promised him a promotion. Wu Li Dan also had his weaknesses, so he agreed.

Mrs. Qi (Old lady) hurriedly went to her secret chamber and saw that the mirror inside was broken. Mrs. Qi (Old lady) believed that Qi Yan Ran used despicable means to make her grandson step down for her. Qi Yan Ran was deeply saddened by her grandmother's treatment. Mrs. Qi (Old lady) no longer had any sympathy left for Qi Yan Ran.

Qi Xiao Xuan was also in great pain, suppressing her emotions and seeking solace in alcohol. Qi Xiao Xuan heard the storytellers mocking her and even considered attacking them covertly, but in the end, she held back. Mrs. Qi (Old lady) knew that the current Qi Xiao Xuan was actually Yan. Yan felt that her grandmother had severed their emotional connection and advised her to have a sense of propriety. Yan knew her grandmother would suppress her, but she would return soon enough.

Wang Yu Qian couldn't bear to tell Hu Zi that it was Qi Xiao Xuan who had hurt him. Hu Zi believed that Qi Xiao Xuan was being controlled and that it wasn't her intention. At that moment, Wu Li Dan led a group of people to come and threaten the people in the inn. Everyone felt it was unfair, but they couldn't speak up.

Qi Zi Lu personally bestowed an official position on Qi Yan Ran and told her that he knew about the events in the arena and fully supported her. Hu Zi wanted to talk to Qi Xiao Xuan to understand the situation, but Qi Xiao Xuan actually tried to kill him. Yan found it somewhat ridiculous that Qi Xiao Xuan wanted to be friends with him.

Qi Xiao Xuan knew that people from the Qi Men Sect were born with two souls. Qi Yan Ran attempted to lock one soul away but failed, and the other primordial spirit emerged. Qi Xiao Xuan witnessed it. When she was being bullied, Yan came to her rescue. They were good partners despite living in the same body. However, Qi Yan Ran held the Extinguish Primordial Pill and wanted Qi Xiao Xuan to kill Yan. She believed that survival of the fittest was the right choice. Qi Xiao Xuan accidentally consumed the Devour Soul Pill and switched souls. Mrs. Qi (Old lady) believed that Yan wanted to monopolize the body, but Yan believed it was done by Qi Yan Ran.

Yan felt unjustly accused, but seeing her grandmother still not believing in her and even Gan (presumably Wu Li Dan) not believing her, she felt disappointed. She wanted to take control of her own fate. When Yan saw Gan hurting her, she felt that his previous words were hypocritical. Qi Yan Ran was happy to see Yan and wanted to help her regain her body.

Mrs. Qi (Old lady) was trying to find a way to awaken Gan. Hu Zi saw Qi Yan Ran and believed that she had cursed Qi Xiao Xuan, which led to these events. Qi Yan Ran had something to attend to, so she let Hu Zi go.

Qi Xiao Xuan saw that Hu Zi recognized her, but she admitted to hurting him and wanted him to leave. Hu Zi didn't want to leave, but his heart was hurt by Qi Xiao Xuan. Zhao Xin Tong and Wang Yu Qian felt that Qi Xiao Xuan had gone too far. Qi Xiao Xuan looked at Hu Zi with a heart full of sadness and walked away, urging herself not to hold onto the pain and not to try to salvage their relationship. She knew that only by keeping them away from herself would they be safe, and she could avoid hurting them because she didn't know when Yan would resurface.
