Episode 3 recap: Luo Ai Lian returned to the Luo family.
Luo Jizhou discovered that Luo Ai Lian's maid, Bin'er, had disappeared, fearing that she knew the truth about their plot to harm Luo Ai Lian. Xu Cheng Feng, aware of the suspicious circumstances surrounding Luo Ai Lian's death, came to the Luo residence to question everyone. On that day, Xu Cheng Feng had given Luo Ai Lian a signal flare, which would ignite even in a sea of fire. He suspected that the signal flare had been destroyed and believed that the culprit intentionally used the fire to destroy the body and cover up the truth.
Xu Cheng Feng initially intended to resolve the events of that day with Bin'er, but learned from Zhou Auntie that Bin'er had already gone missing. Xu Cheng Feng privately sought out Luo Xue Er to inquire if she had any clues, but Luo Xue Er concealed the evidence of the thread she had found in the ancestral hall and did not inform Xu Cheng Feng.
It turned out that Zhou Auntie had discovered the thread in Luo Xue Er's possession earlier and personally burned it, warning Luo Xue Er as well. Unable to find any trace of Bin'er, Zhou Auntie instructed Luo Jizhou to search the martial arts world and seek assistance in locating her to prevent the authorities from finding her. Xu Cheng Feng learned from the coroner that the height of the "Luo Ai Lian" body was slightly shorter, but no other clues were found. Xu Cheng Feng could only instruct his subordinate, Tianhao, to properly bury Luo Ai Lian's body.
Luo Ai Lian was attacked at the medical cottage, and she and Shen Zi Shan were captured. Due to the burns on her body, the assassins suspected that she was not Miss Shen Dan Qing of the Shen family.
