Episode 9 recap: Su Yu Xuan investigates the spice poisoning incident at the Gui Pei Ge.
Shan Dan Dan and Pei Pei discuss their ideals, wanting to become the best jade experts and open a shop with Shan Shuang Shuang in the future to live the life they aspire to. Pei Pei wants to help Shan Dan Dan realize her dream so that she won't have to suffer for a living in the future.
Yang's mother finds Su Jue to settle accounts, as there was an issue with their broken jade that has caused a lot of trouble for their business. Su Jue quickly takes Shan Shuang Shuang to investigate. Su Jue tells his uncle Wang the good news that Su Yu Xuan's business is doing very well, and praises Shan Shuang Shuang's good ideas that crushed Gui Pei Ge, as they can no longer sell their products and have been criticized by everyone for plagiarism.
However, Shan Shuang Shuang feels that while it's good for Su Yu Xuan, it's unfair to her sister Shan Dan Dan. After Shan Shuang Shuang and Su Jue leave, Wang recalls the incident with Guan Yu's phoenix crown years ago, when Shan Shuang Shuang's father was poisoned and died, leaving his daughter for Wang to take care of.

Shan Dan Dan needs to investigate thoroughly to give everyone an explanation, and Tan Qing He will also investigate to provide an explanation.

Pei Pei also warned Tan Qinghe to be careful with Shan Dan Dan, but Tan Qinghe felt his days have been unpleasant since Shan Dan Dan went to Qipei Pavilion, leaving Pei Pei at a loss.
Soon, Shan Dan Dan found a clue and hurriedly returned to share it with Tan Qinghe and Pei Pei. Just as Pei Pei left, a group came to demand protection fees from the master, but he could not pay. Pei Pei felt if he had taken money to frame Qipei Pavilion, he would not be unable to pay the fees, so he may have been the victim. Pei Pei led a few people to drive the protection fee collectors away, and the master was very grateful to them.
The master explained they had been living a difficult life, and wanted to buy his wife a jade bracelet as a gift, but it ended up poisoning them. Shan Dan Dan examined and found the poisoning may not be caused by the spice alone, so they need to further investigate the cause.
Su Jue and Shan Shuang Shuang went to Qu Lanzhong's shop to inquire about whether the spice was poisonous.
