Episode 13 recap: Song Shi Jie disguised himself as Wang Hao Xin.
Tanzhengtang received a letter from Wang Hao Xin and felt somewhat suspicious. Song A Jiu was afraid that Song Shi Jie would handle the matter, but Song Shi Jie explained that he had already made preparations. The first time, he deliberately let those people discover and intercept the carrier pigeon. The second time, the pigeon was the one that actually delivered the message.
Ling Long kept counting the silver coins in her hand while asking her husband who the other letter was for. Song Shi Jie pointed to the person in front of them, He Shou Xin. He Shou Xin told everyone that although Tanzhengtang appeared low-key, the things they did between uncle and nephew were disgraceful, and others knew about it but dared not say anything.
Su Shijie believed that the first step had already been successful and that they were now ready to proceed with the second step of their plan to capture the weaknesses of these two individuals. He wanted to impersonate Wang Hao Xin and negotiate business with Tanzhengtang. He Shou Xin felt that there was no suitable candidate present, and after seeing the way Song Shi Jie looked at him, he knew that he didn't have any good intentions.
He Shou Xin pretended to be Wang Hao Xin and went to see Tanzhengtang. The servant at the door didn't recognize him, so the two of them successfully entered. What they didn't expect was that as soon as they entered the courtyard, they were informed that Mr. Tan didn't want to see Wang Hao Xin and that they were to be killed. They were stunned, and when they woke up, they found themselves tied to chairs and being interrogated.
Under intense interrogation, He Shou Xin couldn't withstand the pressure and revealed that he was not the real Wang Hao Xin. Seeing that there was no other choice, Song Shi Jie had to pretend to be Wang Hao Xin himself. He lied, saying that his family was very wealthy and that he disguised himself as a servant to prevent being assassinated or kidnapped, allowing someone else to take his place as Wang Hao Xin.
Surprisingly, Tanzhengtang believed him. Tanzhengtang repeatedly emphasized in front of Song Shi Jie that he preferred to act discreetly. He sat calmly in his chair and asked Song Shi Jie for a token. Song Shi Jie pretended to have lost the token and sincerely told Tanzhengtang that he came to visit today, not for business matters.

Tanzhengtang was momentarily confused.
Tanzhengtang seemed to realize that he had been tricked and wanted Ling Long to kill Song Shi Jie and He Shou Xin. To Song Shi Jie's surprise, Ling Long actually made a move to kill them. When He Shou Xin fell down, Ling Long was about to kill Song Shi Jie but was stopped by Tanzhengtang.
Song Shi Jie and Ling Long acted outside, successfully gaining Tanzhengtang's trust. Tanzhengtang decided to involve Ling Long in his business dealings. In this way, Ling Long was assigned to protect Song Shi Jie and complete the business transaction. Before leaving, Ling Long suppressed her desire to laugh. She thought Tanzhengtang was simply too naive.
After returning, Xiao Feng and the others couldn't help but burst into laughter. He Shou Xin complained about Ling Long and Song Shi Jie secretly changing the script, admitting that he was actually scared for a moment.
