Plot Synopsis

Gu Xiaomeng, an excellent high school teacher, and her designer husband Lü Xiang, after years of hard work, finally bought their own little house in Beijing. However, as soon as they moved in, Lü Xiang'sparents came, saying they were here for a vacation, but in fact they were here to receive medical treatment. Worse still, Gu Xiaomeng's mother Liu Meiqin and her brother Gu Xiaosong also rushed over from Suzhou. Gu Xiaosong wanted to go abroad, but was constantly being deceived by intermediaries, and in the end he even sold the family's house back home, leaving his mother Liu Meiqin to Gu Xiaomeng. With these three elderlypeople together, the household became lively and chaotic, always quarreling.

Just as this family was in complete disarray, Gu Xiaomeng discovered that she waspregnant. So this couple began a difficult life of having to take care of the elderly while alsopreparing to welcome a new life. Although there were many difficulties and troubles in their lives, they strive to solve them for the sake of love and family, constantly fighting, hoping to live the life they have dreamed of.

"Shang You Lao Xia You Xiao" is adapted from Zhang Wei's novel "A Lifetime With You", and was aired on June 26, 2026.
