Episode 4 recap: Pei Wen Xuan and Li Rong reached a consensus.

His Majesty inflicted punishment on Su Rong Qing, and Su Rong Qing was no longer considered a man. Li Rong had been keeping him by his side, and Su Rong Qing had agreed to it. In fact, Li Rong had also thought about it, after all, they had a vendetta against the Su family, and Su Rong Qing was unwilling to leave, so he must have his own purpose.

It's just that Li Rong didn't expect that even if their feelings were deep, they would still be defeated in the court. Li Rong couldn't help but shed tears, so it was Su Rong Qing who poisoned and framed Pei Wen Xuan, and took the opportunity to eliminate Pei Wen Xuan and completely take over Li Rong's power.

Pei Wen Xuan was also comforting Li Rong by the side, but Li Rong felt that Pei Wen Xuan was just laughing at him. Pei Wen Xuan gave the roasted fish to Li Rong, and Pei Wen Xuan also reminded that if she continued to get involved with Su Rong Qing, it would be as simple as just getting beaten.

Ning Fei went to see the Consort Rong, and it seemed that a change was about to take place. Ning Fei said that his late-night visit was also to bring her a big gift. In fact, he wanted to join forces to fight for the throne. Consort Rong immediately guessed that Ning Fei had just come from the Empress, but Consort Rong did not answer, and Ning Fei could only leave.

Li Rong looked very cold at Pei Wen Xuan, so he asked him to come over and rest with him. The two lay down together, and Li Rong asked Pei Wen Xuan if he had thought about going to find Qin Zhen Zhen. In fact, Pei Wen Xuan had thought about it, but he had never taken any action, after all, he was still married to Li Rong.

Li Rong told Pei Wen Xuan not to discuss the future, but just promised him that he would not be an enemy here. Soon, the Crown Prince also rushed over, and the black-clad men just happened to meet them, and one of them took the opportunity to leave, wanting to go and kill Li Rong alone. Li Rong and Pei Wen Xuan were still talking, and Pei Wen Xuan was feeling drowsy and about to fall asleep. Pei Wen Xuan thought about how Su Rong Qing appeared openly by Li Rong's side, and Li Rong didn't even pay attention to Pei Wen Xuan, and even got beaten for the sake of Su Rong Qing, but he still didn't regret it.

Pei Wen Xuan deeply regretted that he couldn't protect Li Rong. The next morning, when Li Rong woke up, he found that Pei Wen Xuan was actually hugging him, and Pei Wen Xuan also woke up. The two looked at each other awkwardly, and Li Rong felt that Pei Wen Xuan was very embarrassed, but Pei Wen Xuan even said that he wasn't nervous.

Li Rong originally planned to go to the river to wash his hands, but Pei Wen Xuan heard someone coming and quickly helped Li Rong hide with some straw. Li Rong saw Su Rong Qing, and originally wanted to greet him, but was pulled away by Li Rong.

Currently, Su Rong Qing poses no threat to them, and after considering it, Li Rong still left the river. The Crown Prince saw his sister and seemed to have let go of his heart. The Crown Prince saw that Pei Wen Xuan was also there and still loved the one who had killed her, and told Pei Wen Xuan to stay away from his sister.

Since learning that Su Rong Qing had killed him, Li Rong still had some resentment towards him.

Li Rong followed her younger brother Li Chuan as they left. Li Chuan also asked Pei Wen Xuan if he had violated her, but Li Rong said that Pei Wen Xuan would not do such a thing.

Li Chuan also said that he would be heartbroken if his sister got married in the future. Li Rong remembered how Li Chuan had once killed the maid by Qin Zhen Zhen's side out of pure hatred. Li Rong returned to the palace and told Pei Wen Xuan that he didn't have much time left.

Li Rong first went to see the Empress, who inquired about Li Rong's marriage plans. The Empress wanted Li Rong to marry Yang Quan, but Li Rong was unwilling, as she was worried this would be very unfavorable for Li Chuan.

Li Rong asked her mother if she had considered Li Rong's own feelings in the marriage arrangement. Li Rong said she wanted to choose Pei Wen Xuan, at least so as not to incur the displeasure of the Emperor. Li Rong was still very disappointed in her mother, who said she only wanted her sons to survive, as they would be blamed if they rebelled. Li Rong told her mother not to worry, that she would handle it.

When Li Rong left, her mother had slapped her, so she used her fan to cover her face. Pei Wen Xuan saw this and was reminded of Su Rong Qing's delicate appearance. Li Rong also accused Pei Wen Xuan of only thinking of other women.

The Empress Dowager summoned Pei Wen Xuan, who said the only way to resolve the predicament was for him to marry Princess Li Rong, as he did not want her to be humiliated. Pei Wen Xuan was soon summoned by the Emperor, along with Ning Fei's brother, who had come to propose.

Pei Wen Xuan scolded the other man, angering Yang Quan, though he dared not show it openly in court. They all went to see the Emperor, and Yang Quan said he had come to propose marriage to Li Rong, but the Emperor merely told him to think it over, much to Yang Quan's great anger.
