Episode 23 recap: Yin Ji regained his eyesight.
Xie Yun was walking back with some medicine when she suddenly saw some soldiers near their home. Terrified, she quickly went in through the back door and told Yin Ji to come with her. They hid behind a screen, narrowly avoiding being discovered by the soldiers. Once the soldiers left, Xie Yun went to confirm that they were gone.
Yin Ji rushed over and hugged Xie Yun, feeling hurt that she still didn't want to acknowledge their relationship, yet had risked exposing herself to save him. Xie Yun said she didn't know how to face Yin Ji, and Yin Ji admitted it was all his fault - he shouldn't have lied to Xie Yun and caused this misunderstanding.
Yin Ji acknowledged he had made many mistakes and hadn't trusted Xie Yun, but he had always trusted the Xie family. Now they had cleared the air between them. Their current simple but happy life, spending time together, eating meals together, and doing everything together, was enough to satisfy them.
Xie Yun helped Yin Ji become familiar with every part of the house, and even though he couldn't see, their life was still a happy one. Xie Yun would blindfold herself to check for any areas that might not be suitable for Yin Ji and fix them. When Yin Ji accidentally cut his hand while cooking, Xie Yun rushed over to tend to it, then took over the cooking so Yin Ji could rest.
At night, Yin Ji gave Xie Yun a sachet of fragrance, saying that even though he couldn't see, he could use the scent to find her. Yin Ji said he could never lose Xie Yun again. Xie Yun then kissed Yin Ji, and Yin Ji carried Xie Yun to the bedroom. The air was filled with an intimate atmosphere as they sat on the bed together. Yin Ji began undressing Xie Yun, and they kissed passionately.
The next morning, Yin Ji woke up to find Xie Yun not by his side. To his surprise, he discovered he could see again. Yin Ji rushed to where Xie Yun was cooking, and she was overjoyed to see that he could see. Xie Yun kissed Yin Ji, and he noticed she had lost some weight.
While Xie Yun was out buying groceries, a soldier recognized her and started chasing her. Meanwhile, Wang Xinu was still flirting with Qin Qi. A subordinate then reported to Qin Qi that they had captured Xie Yun, and Qin Qi generously rewarded the soldiers.
It turned out that Xie Yun had met Qin Qi three years ago, and the things Qin Qi said made Xie Yun feel disgusted. Xie Yun had no desire to be associated with Qin Qi. Qin Qi claimed that Xie Yun and Yin Ji were enemies, so Yin Ji would not show up, but Qin Qi still didn't believe him, and planned to use Xie Yun as bait to capture Yin Ji.
