Episode 1 recap: The criminals robbed and murdered a police officer.

In 2019, the Special Duties Unit in West Kowloon completed three months of training and six months of patrol duties, reaching the final day of their deployment. The squad leader, Siu Goh, was an excellent police officer who would patiently educate the troublemakers even when they intentionally harassed him. He was the person the protagonist respected the most. The protagonist's senior, A Chan, had joined the police force three years earlier and was still a passionate young officer. Another teammate, Siu Yin, was the youngest but the most physically fit and helpful.

The protagonist, A Tsuen, was the most ordinary among the four. During their patrol, he inquired about Siu Yin's wedding, as Siu Yin's father-in-law was a district councilor and very image-conscious. Captain Siu Goh also enthusiastically asked if Siu Yin had saved enough for the wedding. At a fork in the road, the four split into two pairs to patrol separately.

Some robbers in a car were preparing to commit a robbery when they spotted Siu Yin and A Tsuen on patrol. They quickly drove away, circling back only after the police had moved on.

The robbers armed with weapons then raided a jewelry store. Siu Yin and A Tsuen, having returned from patrol, spotted the getaway car and became suspicious, intending to approach and inquire. The driver in the car also grew nervous upon seeing them.

At that moment, the store's alarm went off. One of the robbers, afraid of being stranded without a car, ran into the store to join the heist. A Tsuen and Siu Yin gave chase on foot. Hearing the call, Siu Goh and A Chan rushed to provide backup, just as A Chan was pursuing one of the robbers. Siu Goh, worried for A Chan's safety, joined the chase. During the struggle, a gun went off, injuring Siu Goh. Siu Yin and A Tsuen also arrived, and the robbers held them at gunpoint. One robber shot and seriously wounded Siu Yin. Forced to obey the robbers' orders, A Tsuen had to put down his weapon, allowing the criminals to escape.

A Tsuen, the sole survivor of the squad, was later captured on camera kneeling, falsely claiming he did so to beg for mercy, bringing disgrace to the police force.

Fast forward to 2024, A Tsuen has risen to become a veteran officer, leading a new team on their first day of questioning.

Because he had shot and killed a police officer at the time, Azu had run away and hid for many years. After returning to Hong Kong, the older brother had allied with someone else and was now very wealthy, but Asui was very dissatisfied with the older brother. When Azu came back, he went to find the older brother and reminisced about the past, as Azu had believed the older brother's words and gone to Thailand to traffic drugs, resulting in him serving 5 years in prison.

After returning, Azu was prepared to take revenge, but since his enemy was no longer as powerful, he could only focus on developing himself first. During his time in Thailand, Azu had met a major drug lord, who introduced Azu to his agent in Hong Kong, Zhou Long. Asui heard that Zhou Long had been an unscrupulous business partner in the past, so he was somewhat concerned.

Zhou Long arrived at the location to transact with Azu, unaware that he was being tracked. Azu discovered the police surveillance from the cameras and called Zhou Long, warning him. Zhou Long then got off the elevator, and the police following them could only get off the elevator as well. This led to a gunfight, with stray bullets wounding some civilians. Officer Axuan, who was patrolling the area with a mobile unit, heard the gunshots and rushed to provide reinforcements. Thanks to Axuan's timely arrival, he was able to rescue a female officer who had almost been killed by Zhou Long. Seeing that the transaction could no longer be completed, Azu and Asui went their separate ways. Axuan spotted Azu's retreating figure and thought he looked similar to a robber from years ago, so he followed after him.
