Plot Synopsis
A retired veteran, injured while saving Napoleon's father during the war, suffers from intermittent amnesia due to shrapnel remaining in his brain. In order to repay the favor, Napoleon asks his son to take care of the old soldier in his old age. However, due to a mistake made by the son, the old man goes missing. The villagers of Ivory Mountain mobilize to search for the old man and eventually find him. To commend everyone's spirit of helpfulness and mutual assistance, the village establishes the Ivory Mountain Assistance Team and awards the title of "GoodPerson of Ivory Mountain" to all.
The old man's confused memories take him back to the war era, and the villagers join him in acting out scenes to helphim regain his memory. They also manage to locate his long-lost comrades, fulfilling the old man's wishes. Throughout thisprocess, everyone experiences firsthand the entire military career from enlistment to the Korean War, and eachperson undergoes different forms of growth as if they had experienced being soldiers themselves. At the same time, they come to realize that without the revolutionary ancestors' bloodshed and struggle, there would be nopeaceful era today. It teaches us to cherish the hard-won happiness of today'speaceful life and to be grateful.
