Plot Synopsis

Zhu Jing Cao and Gu Mo Li, a couple from different hometowns, work together in the metropolis of Shanghai and eventually establish a small family of their own. However, marriage is not just about romance and sweetness, it also brings with it the challenge of getting along with each other'sparents.

From the gradual loss ofprivate space, to the decision of buying a house, to disagreements with theirparents, their Simple Days become turbulent. It was not until after an irreconcilable conflict that they realized that the root of theproblem lay within themselves.

After aperiod of cooling-off, the two decided to end the marriage and redefine their roles in the family. Although the divorce was a foregone conclusion, the real test had only just begun. Life after divorce was full of unknowns, and the crisis of trust, financialpressure, and geographical separation were all challenges they had to face. These difficulties made them appreciate the importance of family responsibility and commitment more deeply.

As theproblems were gradually resolved, theirparents also learned to let go and let their children grow independently. In the end, Zhu Jing Cao and Gu Mo Li reunited after going through the storm, and their marriage became stronger and more mature.
