Plot Synopsis

The "Witch" of the translation world, Lin Xi (played by Song Qian) reunites with her ex-boyfriend Xiao Yicheng (played by Chen Xingxu).

Eight years ago, Lin Xi broke upwith Xiao Yicheng, enduring thepain, in order to fulfill her late mother's unfinished career dream and became aprofessional translator at the United Nations.

Eight years later, Lin Xi has become the youngest chief interpreter and "performance queen" at Huasheng, while Xiao Yicheng has transformed into the chief technical officer of Language Translation Worldwide, which makes him Lin Xi's client andpotential customer.

In order to secure Xiao Yicheng's contract, Lin Xi has to "deal with" him.

As a translator, Lin Xi also helps Xiao Yicheng's company gopublic with her expertise. On the surface, Xiao Yicheng seeks revenge against Lin Xi, but in reality, he not only can't bring himself to be ruthless, but also shows kindness towards her. Through their work and interactions, thepassionate love they had in their youth is reignited. Xiao Yicheng gradually understands the truth behind Lin Xi's decision to break upwith him back then, and witnesses her step-by-stepefforts topursue her dream. He chooses to become her strong support inpursuing her dream, encouraging her and accompanying her during her low moments. From initial misunderstandings and estrangement to mutual understanding and mutual achievement, they eventually become a couple and fulfill their career dream of "speaking for the country."
