The Ghost Town

Plot Synopsis

Chu Qi, the daughter of the Shen family, learns that her sister, Shi San, who she relied on in their childhood, has disappeared while searching for a special medicine. In a moment of desperation, Chu Qi confronts a medicine vendor named Wang Wu, but a conflict ensues. Chu Qi is rescued by Gu Yu Sheng, the son of a deputy officer and her childhood friend. Wang Wu manages to escape, but mysteriously dies that same night.

Officer Wu Xu, who is in charge of the investigation, receives clues that lead him to suspect Chu Qi as the culprit. Desperate to find her sister, Chu Qi sneaks into a righteous manor at night to search for clues on Wang Wu's body. The cluespoint to aplace called Fengming Town. However, Wu Xu, who coincidentally arrives to examine the body, apprehends Chu Qi. During the struggle, Chu Qi accidentally tears her clothes, and Wu Xu covers her with his ownpolice uniform, inadvertently dropping his detective badge in theprocess.

Taking advantage of Wu Xu's detective identity, Chu Qi successfully arrives at Fengming Town. However, the town is shrouded in mystery, and villagers she had encountered before mysteriously die in bizarre circumstances. Feeling helpless, Detective Wu Xu and Deputy Officer Gu Yu Sheng eventually arrive in Fengming Town, experiencing various strange events as they uncover the truth behind the villagers' deaths.
