Plot Synopsis
In the year 1958, the "Water DropProject" was launched, focusing on the fundamental research of submarine theory. As soon as theproject started, it became a thoin the side of enemy agents, who retaliated by devising a destructiveplan codenamed "Rock Operation." OfficerPang Hongmei received the crucial mission ofprotecting the "Water DropProject." Despite numerous obstacles set upby American and Chiang Kai-shek's spies, she successfully rescuedpatriotic scientist Ji Danyang, who had returned from the United States, from the hands of the enemy and escorted him to Lumen City toparticipate in the "Water DropProject."
The enemy concentrated their undercover forces and made every effort to sabotage the "Water DropProject." In Lumen City,Pang Hongmei engaged in a battle of wits and courage with the enemy, thwarting their conspiracies and eliminating the remaining enemy agents. Ultimately, she successfullyprotected the "Water DropProject" asplanned.Pang Hongmei and Ji Danyang, who had endured life and death trials, also fulfilled their respective dreams with unwavering revolutionary beliefs.

The theme is good, but the show is terrible. It relies solely on the acting skills of Bai Hui and Doctor Bai to support it, while the other characters have virtually no room to shine, merely displaying one expression.
1. The plot is full of bugs, and there are many aspects that are hard to swallow. The spy succeeds in every sabotage mission, and the progress of the submarine mysteriously reaches completion.

Every time the police arrest someone, there are only one or two officers, and the rest of the team arrives after the mission is over.
3. Whenever the female lead guesses correctly, there is no further development.
Without Doctor Bai's guidance, there would likely be no progress throughout the entire story. Meanwhile, the other side may have already completed their mission.
4. Doctor Bai has so much screen time, it would have been much better to have him as an undercover agent for the CPC with the identity of "Huamei." Getting shot in the heart didn't even matter.
5. There is no sense of secrecy whatsoever, and every progress is leaked without exception. If things were really portrayed like this in a TV show, the entire story of the expert group would've been lost right from the beginning.
It's a waste of a good theme, relying solely on the Bai family father-daughter duo for support. There's really nothing else worth watching.
There's nothing wrong with the female lead's choice of clothing. Being from the capital city, she's undoubtedly the most fashionable. She can wear whatever style she wants.
And as for catching spies, although some viewers in the bullet comments say she's slow at it, the plot is tight, logical, and doesn't simply let the righteous side have all the glory.
It's normal not to catch the small boss or the big boss right away. Moreover, there's a step-by-step dismantling of the enemy's setup. A good drama should have both capable and intelligent protagonists and antagonists to make it exciting!
Every time the expert group takes action, it's quite a coincidence that they are always disrupted by the villains. What are the police doing? Especially when it comes to testing the 4-ton "stabilizer," it's a given that the villains will show up.
Even ordinary people know this, but somehow no one pays attention and they only react after the fact.
The nurses wear their caps very improperly, and the head of the nursing department is not a doctor.
Are they supposed to be all-purpose healthcare providers? Hongmei's clothes are too tight-fitting; with a little force, they might just tear apart. And her acting seems so unnatural, with her eyes wide open all the time.
The math expert and other specialists have been targeted by sabotage so many times, yet they never seem to learn their lesson.
Lu Cheng initially fell into Bai Hui's manipulation because he had no idea that Bai Hui was a spy. He always believed that Bai Hui was adopted by the orphanage's teacher and forced into this situation.
Additionally, Bai Hui repeatedly tempted Lu Cheng with the idea of living a good life in Hong Kong, which led Lu Cheng to get involved. However, when Lu Cheng was awakened by the factory director's words and learned that Bai Hui was a spy, he didn't choose to defend Bai Hui.
Instead, he confronted Bai Hui and severed ties with her. This shows that Lu Cheng is an upright comrade. If Lu Cheng had continued to defend Bai Hui even after knowing that he was being used, I would have looked down on him.
But he didn't. Although he made some mistakes due to his emotions towards Bai Hui, he ultimately awakened and realized his errors. I want to applaud Lu Cheng for not continuing down the wrong path because of his emotions.
I have to say, while others are obsessed with Pang Hong Mei and Ji Dan Yang as a duo, my obsession lies with Hong Mei, Dan Yang, and Bai Hui as a trio. These three characters are my absolute favorites in the entire drama, especially Bai Hui.
From the first episode to the grand finale, I never felt a single ounce of dislike towards Bai Hui. She can easily be considered my favorite supporting female character out of all the dramas I've watched.
