Episode 1: A suicide case occurs on campus, and Song Yang becomes a suspect.

At the same time, a male student sits on the floor of the library, sketching various shapes of people before their deaths. Episode 2: Minmin talks about her relationship with Tani and others, while Nawa's life hangs by a thread as he is kidnapped.
Minmin is taken to the police station. Song Yang, who is still there, suddenly recalls his grandfather teaching him how to identify the smell of a dead body when he was a child. Huang Xiaotao interrogates Minmin, asking if she knows Tani. Minmin tells her that Tani and the others contacted her and asked her to go to the back mountain, but she didn't go. Song Yang recalls the words his grandfather told him when he was a child. His grandfather once cautioned him against pursuing three professions when he grew up: becoming an official, a police officer, or a forensic expert. Song Xingchen sees that Song Yang has lost his pendant and advises him to retrieve it. Huang Xiaotao consults Sun Hu about recruiting Song Yang into the police station, but Sun Hu tells her that Song Yang would never agree. Huang Xiaotao doesn't believe it and personally goes to persuade Song Yang. As expected, Song Yang remains unmoved, and Huang Xiaotao persistently follows him.
