Plot Synopsis

Bai Shi Zhou, a medical student bound by a contract, as he arrives in Xiancao Village to serve as the village doctor. He encounters Li Chang Sheng, an experienced traditional Chinese medicinepractitioner who has dedicated his life to treating the villagers. The story unfolds with a series of clashes between Easteand Westemedicalphilosophies, as well as competitions in therapeutic techniques.

Bai Shi Zhou, who specializes in clinical medicine, is a medical student trained by the state and becomes a rural doctor in Xiancao Village. Li Chang Sheng, the seasoned traditional Chinese medicinepractitioner in the village clinic, is renowned for generations of medicalpractice. The clash between Easteand Westemedicine takesplace in the clinic where they work together. Gradually, Bai Shi Zhou realizes that the traditional Chinese medicine he once underestimated may have slower short-term effects but is capable of addressing the root causes of illnesses and complements Westemedicine effectively. Likewise, Li Chang Sheng also recognizes that the common chronic diseases in rural areas can only be effectively treated through the integration of Easteand Westemedicine. From then on, the two doctors, one old and one young, one representing Eastemedicine and the other Westemedicine, discard their biases and embrace collaboration and mutual assistance. They work together toprovide medical care to the villagers, becoming the guardians of rural health. Wang Ya Nan, a university graduate who serves as a village official, discovers an opportunity forprosperity. Byproviding technical guidance to the villagers in cultivating medicinal herbs and selling them nationwide, they gainpopularity in the market, gradually achieving the goal ofprosperity for Xiancao Village.

Through his three-year experience as a rural doctor, Bai Shi Zhou not only falls in love with the village's nature but also finds love with Wang Ya Nan. Determined to stay in Xiancao Village, he continues toprotect the health and well-being of the villagers alongside Li Chang Sheng.
