Plot Synopsis

Xu Gang Ren holds a highposition in aproperty management company and has been steadily climbing the career ladder since graduating from university. Apart from relying on cleverness and smooth interpersonal skills, the most important factor contributing to his success is his extraordinary ability—luck! He can be described as apractitioner of the "Buddha-stylephilosophy" within the "life victory group," seeking ease rather than accomplishments. However, his retirementplans are unexpectedly disrupted due to a financial setback caused by investment losses.

In his moments of frustration, luck seems to shine on him once again! Xu Gang Ren is appointed as the CEO of the Beijing branch, offering him a great opportunity for a comeback. Determined, Xu Gang Ren and his wife Helen head north with mixed feelings about the world.

On his first day as CEO, Xu Gang Ren receives distressing news that their company has been acquired by aproperty management company in Beijing. His former colleague, Ding Zhiqiang, isparachuted in as his boss. Xu Gang Ren is demoted and relocated to a deserted factory near the Fourth Ring Road, with the one-year task of revitalizing the wasteland and bringing substantial economic benefits to the company.

Xu Gang Ren endures the humiliation and continues to stay in Beijing...

Xu Gang Ren's younger brother and sister have never set foot in Beijing and have stereotypical impressions of the city. Xu Gang Wen, the second brother, is a foodie influencer, while Xu Bao Yi, the third sister, is a street singer. Due to their respective circumstances, both siblings temporarily stay in Beijing and rely on their older brother and sister-in-law. The four of them brainstorm and decide to transform the deserted factory into a cultural and creativepark. Kuang Hai Lun, Xu Gang Ren's wife, suggests offering the first month rent-free to attract aspiring screenwriters,painters of counterfeit art, dreamers of opening a café, environmentally conscious material artists, cash-strapped fashion influencers, and more.

To drive the development of thepark, eachperson contributes their ideas and suggestions. Along the way, they meet many locals and "Beijing drifters," leading them to gain new insights and understandings about love, life, and even the meaning of life.
